Yes I know its only spring training BUT..........7 of our 9 projected starters are hitting a combined 158

Ellsbury 5-24
Gregorious 3-15
Gardner 2-20
McCann 3-17
Drew 2-16
Beltran 2-16
Teixeira 3-18

That's 20 - 126

3 of our youngsters, 3 have almost as many hits as the 7 seasoned professionals I mentioned.

Pirela 8-18
Bird 5-13
Refsnyder 6-16

That's 19-47 Average 404

Again I know ST & the reg season are two different animals & that these kids aren't exactly hitting off the best league pitchers over 9 innings but the same can be said in reverse, Our seasoned veterans aren't hitting off these pitchers during ST what can we expect when there hitting off the reg pitchers during the season.

This could be a really long season & possibly our 3rd straight of sitting home in October.

Sorry Rick, no offense intended, really.....but you left out Arod.
At THIS POINT it's not insane to think he could be the starting DH.

What can I say?

I also left out Headley who's also having a good spring, that's why I said 7 out of our 9 starters

What can I say, I wouldn't; like anyone else here, get bored of seeing the Yanx win every World Series for a decade or 2 to come. Every single year, from now to the day I die, would be alright by me; tho' I'm beginning to think: either my health or the Yanks need to get a helluva lot better, or I may not see another Yanx dynasty, not for awhile anyway. (May the Baseball Gods Prove Me Wrong).

I was thinking the very same the other day.
