I'm considering again reaching out to Wheels and invite him to host another Happy Hour. However, prior to doing that, I want to gauge the interest level in here.

Simple enough....if there's a decent chance that you'd attend such an event, provide a Yay or such here. If I can get at least 15 to 20 yays, I'll shoot him an e-mail and see if he's interested.

For those who aren't aware of the specifics...using last year as an example, a group of about 30 of us met up at The Claim Jumper in Tualatin. Wheels entertained us by answering a number of questions, engaged in some entertaining/revealing discussion, and shared some laughs with us all. Wheels is about as gracious as you could ever expect. He even brought some swag which was given away during various drawings. It was a whole lot of fun.

The Claim Jumper was gracious, as well, and set up a nice area adjacent to the regular restaurant. They waited food and drink before and after the event...which lasted about an hour.

Wheels chose the Claim Jumper last year, but he may be interested in another place should we have a HH this year. We can cross that bridge at some point.

Interested?

Yes to Wheels but have him bring Kenny Vance. Kenny has some great Blazer stories and isn't limited to say them like Wheels is.

Yes, please count me in.

depending on the day and time i am very interested in going again this year

Okay, add AugieDog34 and HomerLovesKoolAid to your list.

Is everybody going to be sitting around on their computers, like in last year's photo?

Or, can I bring in some ladies to make things even more awkward?

Last year somebody brought a hot little chic with them....... HAD to be their sister!

I'd love to attend. Problem is, I work Fri-Mon, which is opposite to most people. But fuck it, if u can do it on a Friday I can take the day off. Shit anything is possible with a little advance notice...love y'all

How about Fire on the Mountain? All that talk about Fire on the Mountain last week has given me a hankering.

Sweet.

From Wheels...

Hey [ABM],

Good to hear from you, and yes, thankfully the NBA has returned! :)

Doing another happy hour would be fine with me. Let’s see what the schedule looks like when it comes out in the next few days, and then we can determine where the openings are to put it together.

Congrats on the new girlfriend. Hope you’re planning on bringing her along to the Happy Hour so we can all meet her. Or maybe you want to still get to know her better before exposing her to the wackiness of the S2 group. Couldn’t blame you for that! LOL!

Take care for now. Give my best to the guys on the site. Tell everybody thanks for their patience through the lockout. Look forward to seeing you and everyone else real soon, and I look forward to another Happy Hour as soon as we can get a good date to put on the calendar! :)

All the best,

Wheels

Yay, and i'd love to meet Kenny Vance as well!

Sweet.

From Wheels...

Yeah! Wheels is the best!

Ask if Vance can join Wheels. There are some things Wheels can't talk about since he works for the Blazers but Kenny has no limitations.

Kenny's a hoot.

Ask him his stories about playing pickup ball in LA with Kiki Vandegwhe during his college years.

ABM, you can sign me up and depending on the time and place Patrick may tag along also!
