....keep in mind that Curry averaged 14/5 in his third season. Lillard is averaging 21/7. Would anyone seriously trade Lillard for Curry?

he was injured much of his third season, iirc.

Lillard gave high praise to Curry when working with team USA before he was cut. He said, Curry just doesn't miss shots. Dame seems to have learned by example. Curry is the best shooter with the quickest release in the league IMO. He's also been plagued with bum ankles all his career. Bogut has also had trouble staying on the court in his career. Lillard is an ironman. Compare them when they retire.

Lillard is much older than curry in their respective 3rd seasons

Only a year. Curry was 24 in his 4th year; Lillard in his 3rd.

Here's their Per 36's from when both were 24:

Dame: 21.9 Pts / Curry: 21.7 Pts
Dame: 47.6 FG% / Curry 45.1 FG%
Dame: 47.7 3P% / Curry 44.9 3P%
Dame: 7.2 Ast / Curry 6.5 Ast
Dame: 5.4 Reb / Curry 3.8 Reb
Dame: 24.5 PER / Curry 21.3 PER
Dame: 266 3PFG's (on pace) / Curry 272 3PFG's (da record)

Anyway, Dame's better.
