When is he going to get it? And don't tell me any day now.

I think we all agree he deserves a prize and I know where he should stick it.

Well IMO it's never seemed to make much sense, a "peace prize" named after a wartime arms dealer. The Nobels were also the oil barons of Europe at one time. Really just not great folks.

That would suggest that it never had luster, rather than it has lost it.

My guess is that Nobel regretted his contribution to the war effort and the prize was a way to atone.

...well, the fact that Alfred Nobel who was a scientist, even created the awards of which there are a total of 6, should say something in general about his goodwill.

Alfred Nobel saw the horrors that TNT could bring and decided to include peace with his six other prizes.

Don't forget, TNT was developed for construction blasting as in road building and other construction projects. It's use in war was not his idea.

I find it perfectly natural and understandable why Alfred came up with a peace prize.

I don't know about the others but Trump was not nominated. Some bunch of dufus Republicans sent a letter suggesting Trump should get the peace prize. I'm sure the committee had a good laugh and rejected the suggestion.
