There seems to be a distinction, from all sides really, that some news is not real, ie "fake" news. So, I'm wondering where you guys find your "real" news. Personally, I shop around on the so-called left-slanted news outlets: CNN, BBC, Vice, NYT, etc., but often cross-reference with outlets such as Fox News. I have my opinions about what each offers, but I'm wondering what you guys think and why. And how news becomes "fake" and not just a different angle. I'd argue omission is the biggest crime in news today and not bias...

reuters, then AP, and if curious about how others view the story, then msn and fox
for straight opinion pieces, the journal and the hill
if i find after all this that i am completely confused, BBC america

I typically bounce back and forth between CNN and Fox to get both points of propaganda. I figure reality, if there is such a thing, is a rough average of the loads of crap these outlets generate.

You are one disillusioned motherfucker. I like that.

I look at:
PBS The News Hour;
MSNBC Hardball with Chris Matthews;
MSNBC All In with Chris Hayes;
CNN The Global Public Square with Fareed Zakaria;
NBC Meet the Press with Chuck Todd;
My local KATU 11 pm news show with Steve Dunn anchor;
PBS NOVA;
PBS Frontline;
PBS Nature.

Fox News is so biased as to be nearly totally unreliable.

I don't watch The Rachel Madow Show because there's something about her delivery that grates me and she shuffles papers way too much.

Read about stuff on the internet and then find video on youtube to see what actually happened without the commentary.

What if there is a thing that happens and no one is there to video it?

barfo

The London Times or The Guardian....

They tote water just like everybody else but the British seem to limit their shit to a few papers.
Ours are just a Malestrom of Garbage.

Local news, lol at the idea of watching Fox, MSNBC, or CNN.

So you're 100% communist and avoid any variety of opinion at all?

Local news mostly

People watch news? I just watch things unfold and come up to my own conclusion.

Im a caveman! I know!

You have magic powers? I have to unfold shit myself. To be able to just sit and watch would be heaven!!!

The only real news is what you witness happening personally.

Everything else is propaganda, dis-information, and lies.
Which proves the Elvis is alive and man has never landed on the moon. The moon landing was a giant hoax perpetrated by Hollywood. Fake, fake, fake.

About a year ago @Denny Crane suggested a website called “Real Clear Politics”. I’ve been going there every morning to try and winkle out possible truths. The website itself leans conservatively in general, but it’s a compilation of news and stories across the political spectrum. If there’s an obviously conservative piece, right behind it is an obviously liberal piece. I appreciate being able to read both takes before making up my mind (if I’m even able to do so). Then I try to fill in the gaps with other media resources that interest me. But I do my very best to stay away from obvious partisan propaganda outlets like Fox and CNN. They are utterly cringeworthy and anyone who uses them to buttress their side of any debate has no credibility whatsoever (to me at least). Otherwise I just hunker down, put my fingers in my ears and and hum heavy metal tunes to myself to keep the harmful noises out.......

bravo! all those stations including MSNBC are not but propaganda throwing stations and they all thrive and survive on stirring up frenzy laden positions that are no longer unbiased.
Journalism has been the strong arm for these radical's on both sides.

I watch different networks and read different websites but really I also just listen to the words that come out of people’s mouths. There is no bias that way. For instance you either say grab em by the pussy or you don’t. You either mock a disabled person or you don’t. You either call immigrants rapists or you don’t. No need to worry about twisting or slanting the message. It just is what it is.

was at a bar one time with my dad and uncle kenny knockin' back a couple coca colas. uncle kenny had convinced one of the local women to come and sit in his lap. in walked my aunt.....
after she got done berating the no good so and so, kenny stood up, and with a completely straight face asked my aunt, who was she gonna' believe, him or her lyin' eyes!
didn't have fake news back then.

You do say you CAN grab em by the pussy and have everyone on Earth say that you DO grab em by the pussy. Even after you've said you just kiss them without asking.
