1st round? 2nd? 3rd? 8th? Undrafted?

Predictions? I say early 2nd.

I was watching SVP and Russilo today and they were talking about Vontaze Burfict. They were talking about how he had enormous potential going into college and lost his way. They were talking about how his going undrafted seems like a huge mistake now, but at the time everyone had big concerns about him and his attitude. I think Colt is another Vontaze Burfict, but I don't think he's going to turn things around.

I read yesterday that NFL scouts are using the nickname "Ankle Bracelet" for Lyerla, because apparently even after the Combine he's "gone dark" for a few days, and couldn't be contacted.

I sure as fuck wouldn't waste a draft pick on him. The guy has completely self destructed.

I think he goes in the last 2 rounds when there are few decent players left. He is so freakish athletic that someone will take a chance.

Chargers to Round 7? I think a small media presence in SD along with a good locker room like the Chargers could help him, plus having a mentor in Antonio Gates could be big

I don't think anyone has even picked him up as an undrafted free agent yet, and teams usually go after them pretty quickly if they have any shred of interest.

Apparently the answer is to work at McDonalds

Fucking idiot

I just don't understand completely throwing away a lottery ticket like that. This was a kid that everyone thought was a lock to go to the NFL. I mean, if he'd actually lived up to his potential he could have been a first rounder. Now he's undrafted and most likely won't make a roster. I really wouldn't be surprised to see jail in his future.

Good move by the Packers. He's a stud on the field. Apparently smart as one off it

It's telling that not even Chip Kelly would was interested in inviting him to the Eagles as an undrafted player.

Ted Thompson, the GM says he will "sleep on it" regarding to sign Colt. He did well in their mini-camps supposedly.

Colt signed to fall camp. I really hope he turns his life around. He's flawed, but he's not a bad person.

I really didn't know much about Lyerla until he got to Green Bay, but as Packers fan it's non-stop Colt in all of the paper's that cover the team and there have been some pretty interesting articles digging into all of the stuff that led to his meltdown at U of O.

No idea if he's really gotten his life sorted out, but it sounds like getting out of the state of Oregon isn't a bad way to go and landing in the NFL's smallest city probably means a few less opportunities to get distracted or get in trouble.

Hopefully this story gets a happy ending - seems more like a kid with trust issues and no stability growing up more than being a bad guy, but who knows.

He's going to self-destruct. I would put money on it.

Wouldn't shock me. No big deal, The Packers have no financial risk if they cut him.

Yeah, they didn't want to waste a draft pick on him, so it's no big deal. I'm just bitter because I really hate watching people with a golden ticket just throw away their lives.
