Us acquiring Rudy from PHX or Nic from Houston?

Both players are obviously going to be a huge part of our success in the future, but was one deal better then the other?

Batum.

He was our best defender since last season as a 20 y/o rook. I like his potential on both ends over Rudy.

Nicolas for sure. The guy is showing signs of busting out.

I like Rudy but Batum is much younger and has much much more potential.

Rudy = Brent Barry i think...

Batum could be something more

no brent barry made his shots. rudy misses more then he makes.

really, i think youd be hard pressed to find 2 more similar players...

Batum, without a doubt. Batum is going to be a stud. Rudy will always be a solid role player.

Batum. I also think Rudy is not going to be a part of the future unless he finds the weight room. Hopefully he is acting, but seems to be broken on every single foul.

No question to me that, barring injuries, Batum will be the more valuable player.

Yea I think when you consider age and the overall impact one could potentially have on a game I would have to go with Batum.

nic. I have no doubt. I think nic is more valuable right now.

Both deals were better than many others.

Be happy.

Only because of "NBA rules", they are considered trades, but both players were drafted by the other teams for the Blazers.

So, they were really just draft picks.

Batum was the better draft pick.

Had it actually been the picks of the other two teams they would have taken different players.

Considering I don't think Rudy will be on this team after this season or the next, I think Batum is the clear choice.

Stealing Miller for only 7 million.

You realize that only 31 players currently make more shots than they miss, right? Four of them are guards.

Go Blazers

Batum. But the "Scrap and One" in the end will hold this guy down from being what he can be offensively. He had what two points tonight? At this rate, the inconsistancy will continue.
