Which team's style of play do you most envy?

Obviously NY and Golden State are fun to watch, but I don't really envy them because I don't expect them to win. For some reason OKC won a "most fun to watch" poll earlier this year, but I don't actually think they play a very pleasing brand of ball, even if they're likely to be more successful than either of those previous two. I'd have to go with Utah because of the constant movement, and because I like Williams.

A slightly different question that you could also answer: if you could transpose one other team's style of play on to our current team with the players we have available, what would it be, and why?

(I'm going to go with the triangle for that one: if Derek Fisher and Ron Harper and John Paxson and Steve Kerr can be starters on championship-winning teams, then so can Brandon. Of course, we'd be missing the Michael Jordan/Kobe Bryant... but we'd have Wesley Matthews!)

Definitely Utah's style, because I think it frees people up for better shots and makes players look slightly better than they really are on offense ... of course that would require a pick and roll operator and a rolling big man and guys who set picks, but if I could get this Blazers team to play that way I think it would produce not only an aesthetically pleasing style of ball, but would probably add some wins.

The Lakers. Aesthetically pleasing and extremely effective against any caliber of opponent.

I also have generally enjoyed the Celtics play the last few years due to their team defensive prowess, though I'm not sure that's what you meant.

For the Blazers, I'd like the systems that Jackson, Sloan or Adelman use, assuming we had the respective coach to implement it.

It's no coincidence that they also happen to be the two best teams or that between the two teams have 5 to 7 of the top 20 players in the league.
Seriously, between the two of them they have Kobe, Gasol, Odom, KG, Paul Pierce and Rondo.

Our current best player, LaMarcus, would be a sixth man on either team.

First comes chemistry, then playing style should evolve naturally from that, depending on the players.

When a coach arbitrarily forces a style of play regardless of whether the players are suited for it or not, it never works.

I'll agree with Boston. Their defense is suffocating. They have a young rising star at PG who makes the exciting plays that are actually meaningful and not for show. When Ray Allen is wide open to shoot the 3, you can hear the crowd got ooohh, expecting a make. Pierce is do-everything, and they have an inside presence. They can play at any pace they want, and can change it up within the game at any time.

1. San Antonio- probably the only system that is "for" the players, and "by" the players. It caters to their individual strengths, and has a ton of variability. And they play awesome team D to hide some of the weaker individual defenders!

2. Utah (just the offense)- I love how it's completely based on creating chaos for defenses, but also is completely structured.

3. LA (just the offense)- (when they're not in Kome chuck mode)- The triangle would be really effective for some players on our roster.

I like teams with great point guards... so Chris Paul, Deron Williams, Rondo, etc.

I've always been a huge fan of Popovich. They are big on penetrate and kick and they always have reliable shooters. Helps to have players like Parker, Manu and Duncan as well as always having great shooters and Duncan who is great at realizing a double team is coming kick it back out for the shot, or the extra pass. They also always play solid D and hold each other accountable.

I think this might be their year again.

I'd also like to add, they always find great shooters. Hill has been great, Bonner and now they have Neal looking like Hersey Hawkins or vintage Dana Barros. I'm jealous.

Duncan will want to try to win at least one more before he goes out... kind of like Davey.
