Harkless is hurt. He had his knee scoped in May to remove a loose body, but he still hasn't recovered. I think his knee is going to be a problem.

Aminu can also play SF when Collins is at PF, maybe he even starts at SF if Hark ain't ready. Can't believe Hark is not ready after a May scope, this does not sound goof

If it was really that bad Olshey would’ve added another SF hahahha just kidding.

If Harkless can't go...and Terry wants a Curry, Nick, ET 2nd unit then I would start Layman. Yeah he would struggle early but I think he would get better as the year went on with a little experience.

If they let Baldwin run the 2nd unit (and they should) then I would then start ET at SF.

Scoped back in May? And it's still a problem..... scoped knees don't take that long to get better. What's going on?!

Is this a scoop? Or?

If ET has to play, I'd rather start him where he'll be the 5th option than have him dominate the ball on the second unit.

I know we heard all summer how the plan is to surround ET with shooters on the second unit, but the subtext is "we want ET shooting less". Which makes sense, since he sucks at it. But, that's also why I'd rather see him start (if he HAS to play). With Dame, C.J., Nurk and Aminu on the floor with him, there is very little reason for ET to get many shots.

I'd rather just not see him at all, but if we HAVE to, this is the lesser of two evils (at least until Harkless comes back).

...so how many minutes should Curry and Baldwin play a piece?

I don't think ET makes sense from all they have said. They brought in more shooters to support Dame and CJ. So, whoever is at SF must be a good shooter. Also, Stotts usually likes to keep his main lineup intact and brings a temp non-rotation player into the hole to keep everyone else consistent.

Turner is locked into the second unit from all we have heard. Aminu is very likely the starting PF, so unless they have had a huge change of heart, he will start there as well.

Who's left? Layman, Trent Jr., Stauskas? I would bet Layman gets first shot as he would be the most similar player and has put in the work.

why not start Aminu at SF and Collins at PF?

why not start Aminu at SF and Collins at PF?

We have an abundance of SFs. They might not be very good but there is a lot of them.
At the same time we do not have many PFs. We need Aminu there. I am ok with starting Collins at PF and bringing Aminu off the bench, but he will still play major minutes there as Collins could play back up center too.

...so how many minutes should Curry and Baldwin play a piece?

Curry in my mind is less of a PG than CJ. The highlights I see him in he is all SG. So my first guess is he plays with Baldwin. Each playing 14 minutes per game.

It sure seems like Mo gets hurt a lot, and that it repeatedly stalls his development.

Dame - 35 / Baldwin - 13
CJ - 33 / Curry - 15

Baldwin needs some minutes because he is the only one of the four that plays solid defense even though he is overly aggressive at times. I can also see times where Stotts goes micro-small and a combination of 3 of Dame/CJ/Curry/Baldwin is on the floor at the same time with Baldwin guarding the best offensive player.
