Now that we have the People's Champ, and he's clearly the SGOTF, who should we trade Wes for?

unbalanced trade? we have 7 mil of cap and he makes like 7 mil so thats 14mil to work with.

A big and a wing that are both defensive minded

Barton is great off bench. Keep Wes. We wouldn't have beaten Houston without him.

This team goes downhill without Wes, his leadership, defense, and tenacity is what made us even good enough to make it this far. The mentality he brings to our guys is incredibly important, and can't be replaced. Don't change the starting five. I'm guessing this is just a joke thread..

Wes is a warrior. You can't replace his fire and determination. You need role players like him on a team.

Actually, I hear there is this great new prospect we can get for Lillard.

Cike Monley.

Would anybody trade Lillard for kyrie Irving straight up? Jus curious

No. I would not. For two reasons:

1. Attitude

2. Health

I've heard too many bad things about Irving's attitude as a leader, and he can't seem to stay healthy, so for those two reasons I take Lillard hands down. Dame is not only a great talent, but he's humble and a great teammate.

This.
I've been critical of Lillard's play-making abilities - but I just can't bet against him. I think he'll get better every single year for the next...8 years or so? He's just determined, and he knows he has weaknesses and wants to eliminate those weaknesses.

Agreed.

Ya know I also once hear that Mo Williams is a glue guy.

In some ways he has been. He's hosted multiple team dinners for the players throughout the season. His play has been up and down but he's been great at keeping this team together and focused over the course of a long season.

I know you were being a smart ass but you can have more than one glue guy on a team.

We should not trade Wes. He's more than a glue guy. He's more than a warrior. He's the heart and soul of the team. His leadership was needed after Cupcake Felton and crew destroyed team morale.

I guess your content with getting out of the first round?

No, I'm not but A, we haven't been eliminated yet and B, you don't need to trade starters just because they don't win the championship. Should Miami have traded LeBron after the Heat lost 2011? Or were they content not winning the championship? We can improve from within. Get better without trades, get better from experiencing playoff wars together.

Trades nearly always result in disappointment for both teams concerned, as there is no unbalanced improvement for either, and usually ends up a net loss for both due to starting over building chemistry.

Trading our only actual veteran defender and putting a one dimensional rookie shooter in his place would send us to the cellar.
