I bet BRoy will average 16.5 points / 4 rebounds / 4 assists a game @ 30 minutes a game. Play in 80% + more games. I get a 1 rebound and 1 assist cushion. No cushion on points. He must score 16.5 or higher in order for me to win.

I will take 2/1 odds @ $20 min/$100 max per bet (Must bet $20 to get $10 from me). All of you can bet against me. :D

so the bet would be $100 to get $50 that Roy will be above ALL of the following:

1) 52 games (I'll be generous and round down from 52.8)
2) 30 mpg
3) 16.5 points
4) 3 assists
5) 3 rebounds?

If so, I'm in.

Just to be clear, is this whether or not he's in a Blazer uniform doing so? Or do I have to root against whatever team picks him up as well?

If I knew you and your son personally; I would have no problem doing that. Then again, if we knew each other personally; I would expect some back court passes as well. :wink:

Yep! You are on lock. And the great thing about this board is this can't be deleted; so no one can say they didn't bet. Trust me... I've always paid too. Ask Sly and my payments for his sexual favors. I have his paypal account memorized!

It is a sucker bet, but the payout is shit. Give me 3/2 odds and you've got yourself a deal for $30 ($20 if I win, $30 if you win).

he put up 12.2/2.6.2.7 last year, so the 1:1 bet is skewed in your favor mags

exactly Brain! I'm just curious if some of these posters that think Roy is all washed up puts their money where their mouth is. Obviously my 16.5 points and 80% of games played would make them take the bet in a heartbeat!
 
it's the 30mpg for 52 games that I think is unsustainable, but if he pulls it off with 16.5ppg, then it's worth my 100 jermajesties. If he does what I think he'll do, my little boy gets $50 towards his John Deere stock fund. :)
 
I'm in for $50 Mags. I win I get $25, U win you get the $50. BTW what was the answer if he did end up going to another team? combine the stats or bets off?

I have no doubt that Roy will fail to reach those milestones (especially since they are "AND" props and not "OR") I just have a "moral" objection to such crappy odds. :wink:

Well if it's 100% likely it will not happen, then a $50 investment for a 50% return is pretty damn good. Don't you agree?
 
I'm in. I like Brian's logic. How much would I pay to ensure that Roy had that kind of production for the season? Yeah, $100 sounds reasonable. Plus, I already feel like I owe you for springing for the Game 3 tix, so this actually feels pretty even to me.

Now, what's your Greg Oden sucker bet? :)

Eh what the hell. Put me in for $100.

It's a win-win situation, if Brandon averages higher then those numbers (which I honestly hope for) its great for the team. If he doesn't, well at least it was good for me. You're looking at a big payout if he does great Mags!
