The fucking Knicks are 3-2. The Heat, Grizzlies, & Bucks are too. The Bulls are 3-3. The Hawks are 4-0. Which of these teams are actually going to be good this season? I think the Hawks are for real though they now have to survive Josh Smith's injury. They were impressive in the playoffs. I think they will be a contender out East.

Thoughts? Are the Knicks good?

None of those teams are really good. The Hawks are the best of the bunch.

My preference is to wait and see how they do against the Blazers. If they beat the Blazers, then they must be a good team, pretty simple to determine good/bad that way.

Gramps...

we're a few inches on one shot and .8 seconds on another from being 0-5. are we really that bad?

How bout the Clippers? They're actually 0-6. Are they that bad? I say YES. Baron started 0-6 last year but then Stephen Jackson came back and led them back into the race. No Jacko this time around.

Knicks just beat the undefeated Jazz to improve their record to 4-2. Are they a playoff team?

I think it is hard to say. They do have a lot of depth, though. They also can score a lot of points.

Zach followed 25/13 performance with 25/14 performance today.

ZBo= All Star
D'Antoni= Coach of the Year

Randolph has always been a talented scorer and rebounder. And a poor passer and defender. He just needed to be used properly in a system, and Isaiah Thomas is a pretty terrible coach.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if Randolph was a 20/10 player and an All-Star this year.

The Knicks have an offense I wished we ran.

Coach McMillan and his ever-so-predictable offense.

The Knicks couldn't really get much worse than last season. They basically have the same players, and it's funny how much a coach can make a difference. D'Antoni's a great regular season coach and will get teams to the playoffs, but I don't think he'll ever win a title because you can never outscore teams in the playoffs.

everyone wants to play like the suns and they all want to win championship

And so far, those two things don't go together.

I promise you Celtic, Spurs, Pistons, and Lakers fans wouldn't trade their style of play with the Suns if it meant giving up championships.

Entertaining or not, defense and half-court offense win in the playoffs.

don't know if i'd lump the lakers "style" of play in with the other three. They, like the Cavs, have their own style of play.

I think the Suns would've won with their style of play in 2005 if Joe Johnson hadn't gotten hurt. That was a great great team.

I still think it's a little too early to judge these teams. We're 6 games in to the season. Before we jump to conclusions, lets give 'em a few more weeks to prove to us a little more what they can do.

I would like to note though, that I did pick the Hawks to make the playoffs.

Of course, the Hawks will make the playoffs. That was obvious after the way they played Boston in the playoffs. Hawks may be a top 4 team in the East.

As for the Knicks, who knows? The 2006-07 Blazers started 4-2.

Unfortunately that style doesn't win. I wish it did!

Nor does the style we play either since we haven't made the playoffs yet. Nate's teams sucked in Seattle playing his pathetic slow down snore ball. The only team that really did anything was the one where his team scored a bunch of points. You definately have to have a better ballance than D'Antoni's Suns teams did, but you also can't have a team that never gets easy baskets.

After almost 2 wks of the NBA season, I think the east will shape out something like...

1. Boston
2. Cleveland
3. Orlando
4. Detroit
5. Toronto
6. Philadelphia
7. Atlanta
8. Miami

I was referring to the Laker teams that won a championship.

All five franchises that have won NBA championships in the last ten years won it through great defense and solid half-court offenses.

Are you comparing the Seattle team that scored 98 points/per game who had a veteran all-star guard with the youngest team in the history of the last who scored 95 points/per game?

I guess we should expect more out of a team with little to no experience loaded with players 24 years and younger shouldn't we?

I think we should compare our stats last year with the ten other youngest teams in the history of the NBA. I bet we come our very favorably.

We have a veteran all star guard as well.

Let's compare

Rindour 23
Blake 28

Allen 29
Roy 24

Lewis 25
Webster 22

Radmonovic 24
Aldridge 23

Collison 24
Oden 21

Fortson 28
Joel 29

James 29
Rudy 23

Evans 24
Outlaw 24

I mean.....are we really that much younger? I don't think so.

3 of there rotaion players were 24, and Lewis was 25

We have more, but it's not like they were the Pistons or Spurs. They were young too.

The leaders of our team are under the age of 24. Seattle had a true vet in Ray Allen who was a multiple-time all-star.

Either way, I would like to see how we compare to the ten youngest teams in NBA history. I would be shocked if we were not the best of the bunch.
