Why didn't Tolliver play against OKC?

The Blazers played only 8 in the loss to OKC. The Blazer website report on the game included the following.
"With CJ McCollum sitting out with a left ankle sprain suffered in the first quarter of Friday night's loss to the Mavericks and both Kent Bazemore and Anthony Tolliver not with the team, Terry Stotts was left with just eight players for Saturday night's game. "

Tolliver contributed a lot in the previous 2+ games, with valuable swish3s, communication, defense, rebounds, and notable hustle. Why was Tolliver included in the OKC game?

There’s a reason why players get taken out the minute a trade is agreed to. An injury would most likely nix the entire deal. And obviously there’s no way of guaranteeing that the players in the deal would make it through another game without one, especially a blazer.

Quite well actually. He is the starter on a winning team and shooting at a high percentage.

He’s a de facto starter. He’s not really a part of their closing lineups. He’s doing worse in Miami than in Portland. He rebounds like a wing. Miami is or definitely should be looking to upgrade.

He's a decent rebounder. It's one of the very few things he does well.

His contested rebound percentage is laughable and his total rebound percentage is more along the lines of a small forward. He’s an awful rebounder for his position. Don’t be fooled by the boards he racks up when no one is around him.

You don't watch the games like I do. When he wants a rebound there's very few that can take it away. I've seen that from my vantage point in row B behind the visiting team. I've also seen plenty of this on TV during our away games. He's got plenty of faults but I couldn't count rebounding, especially defensive rebounding as one of them. He's been getting about one rebound every four minutes played. Not stellar numbers but still decent when considering he's a power forward and not a center.
