PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)—Trail Blazers center Greg Oden will sit out Wednesday night’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies because of a bone chip in his left knee.

Oden was hurt in a collision during a game at Golden State last Thursday. He was unable to play in the All-Star weekend’s rookie challenge.

The 7-foot center is listed as day-to-day. Team doctors are expected to evaluate his knee later Wednesday.

Wasn't the original plan to evaluate him on Tuesday? This is getting me more and more nervous as each day goes on (it started with Oden could play Sat if it was a regular season game) Are the slowly getting us ready for bad news?

He was evaluated Tuesday, that's how they determined he wouldn't play tonight. He'll be evaluated again today. That's why he listed as DAY-to-DAY.

So basically he is going to get evaluated each day until he is ready. I wonder why evaluating him is even news then . . . maybe becuase it's GO.

Edit: I remeber Blake was DAY-to-DAY for a long time and not getting evaluated every day.

They want to wait until Wed. so they can further piss off MIXUM and give him something more to complain/troll about.

Because he sat out of the All-Star festivities, he can't play against Memphis without risking a suspension. Maybe (hopefully) that has something to do with it?
