From the article:
Analysis: Right now, Caldwell-Pope is one of the fastest risers on NBA draft boards. He is a terrific shooter and a very good athlete. While the Blazers already have Wesley Matthews, adding Caldwell-Pope to the mix gives Portland great depth in the backcourt.

He is intriguing. Decent size and can shoot the rock. I will be interested to see how his workouts and combine go

I know I can't post the whole mock here, but I'm surprised that he has teams picking all the injured players high where they would have taken them if healthy!

Noel
McLemore
Porter
Olidipo
Burke
Bennett
Muhommed
Len
McCollum

guess that shows how weak this draft really is.

Reach at 10.

Don't buy him as a riser either. It's true that he's a good athlete but he doesn't have the ball skills to really use it much. Short arms and a lack of shiftiness in his game limit his potential as a slasher and defender.

His shooting should give him a chance to a decent off the bench guy though.

I like Pope. If we liked Pope and say Dieng, I wonder if Olshey would entertain moving #10 and #39 for #17 and #18 and trying to grab them there.

Is he better than Elliot Williams?

Pope has B-rexitus: 6'6" with a 6'5.5" wingspan.

His 3pt vastly improved from his freshman year. Kerry Kittles is one comparison that I've read.

Is he ready to start? Will Barton showed he can score off of the bench at an NBA SG, and if Pope is redundant, is it worth it? However, if he can defend a bit and projects as a starter, then he would make Matthews available, and Wes has a nice contract to trade in order to get a few more younger pieces in return.

I've never seen this player but JDC sounds like he knows what he's talking about.
