Woj: McHale fired

WojBomb.

I bet they go after Thibs.
Woj also said that JB Bickerstaff's main job is to shore up the defense, so it would make sense for them to go after a top-notch defensive coach.

Took them long enough...
But they're blaming the wrong person Mchale didn't bring in players who are career <30% 3point shooters to play in that system.

Morey is the one who needs to be on the hot seat. Constantly turning over the roster, bringing in questionable characters who have clearly been coach killers in the past, giving no thought to the chemistry of the team.

The fact that this happened a day after a players' only meeting is telling. As if I couldn't hate the Rockets players more

could you imagine trying to get Harden to play defense?

Thibbs would be good there, but I'm not sure how much Harden would enjoy it.

For the last several days, ESPN ran an article a day about how depressed the players and coach are, criticizing each other on the court during games. Now I realize those articles were leaks from Rockets management, preparing Houston fans for this firing.

You can call that conspiratorial thinking...I call it, how the world works.

This means we lose tonight's game. Probably would have anyway, but we had a chance before.

This is hilarious (to me for other than obvious reasons).

Just last night when I was perusing the posts pertaining to Harden's positively putrid defense, and Superbeard's take on the Rockettes pathetic performance, and watching the video of the team on the sidelines, I thought McHale might be fired soon.

I then wondered if in fact Harden was sandbagging to help hasten his departure.

Mission accomplished?

I hope they hire Mike D'antoni and fire him in a couple more months....this is fun! McHale should have been fired long ago..he was never coaching material

maybe KingAlbertoDelRioJrSpeeds prediction of a collapse was just a year early

Stotts better hope the Blazers don't decide to have a players only meeting.

Great. Not only do the Blazers have to play a team coming off a team meeting, but an interim coach who players always ball out for during the coaches' first week. Also, McHale was holding them back. If they get Thibs ... watch out.

I would never want McHale as head coach (or even lead assistant for that matter) but he would make a great Big Man's coach. Doubt he would take a position doing that right away though. He still gets paid for at least 2 years of sitting on his butt.

I don't want any part of McHale here with the Blazers

I'd rather have this McHale and assistant:

McHale can barely walk. I'm all for hiring the handicapped, but shouldn't a big man coach be able to get out on the court and teach a bit?

Thibs is getting paid a fortune to not work, if he took this job, he'd forfeit a chunk of change I think
