Griffin, a 6-10, 232-pound forward from Seton Hall University, has averaged 8.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.63 blocks and 25.2 minutes per game in 150 NBA games (started 90) over two seasons with the Houston Rockets (2001-02 and 2002-03). He posted a career-high-tying 25 points vs. the L.A. Lakers on Dec. 20, 2001 and grabbed a career-best 16 rebounds on Jan. 10, 2003 at the Atlanta Hawks.

So what do you guys think about Griffen going to the Wolves guess the Nets weren't pushing hard enough to keep him being that is a liablility with his issue and mental problem.

Eddie has been a prisoner to his chronic depression. He has the talent to be great but his mind doesn't tell him that. He could put up big numbers if put in the right situation. I think the article ESPN the magazine wrote about him was great. And I'm on hise side now. I just hope he can turn it all around.

I think Minny was/is a much better situation for him than New Jersey. If he would have came here with the expectations that the tri-state media puts on players, etc., it may have been to much for Griffin to handle at this time. Alot of people would have had unreal expectations of him replacing Martin at the 4. And I just dont think he is ready for all that..so I think thats why Thorn decided to pass on bringing him back. Minny is a good place for him, everybody knows that the clear focus of that team is on KG & the rest of the big 3, which means that Griff can be just one of the other players. No pressure of having to be a starter, no pressure of having a unrealistic impact on a team. He is a insurance player off the bench in Minny, nothing more..And thats what he needs to be right now in his life.

Griffin has loads of talent...I'ma diehard Rockets loyalist and he is extremely athletic and a nice 3-point shooter...he was also showing great progress in his inside game as well before his mishap...hope he does well in Minnesota...if healthy, he'll be a great fit...
