I need some songs to pump me up when I'm at the gym. Suggestions?

Btw, it can be Hip Hop, too.

All of the Rocky songs. No Joke.

Other ones I use include....

Eminem- The Way I am
Eminem- Mosh
Tech Nine- Victory
Eminem- You Don't Know
Harvey Danger-Flagpole Sitta
30 Seconds to Mars- From Yesterday
System of a Down- Chop Suey

Can't Stop by the Red Hot Chili Peppers always gets me pumped.

The Rocky IV soundtrack, Journey too. Anything with synthesizers.

There was this techno version of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" but I can't find it anymore. That was cool.

Some stuff by 50 Cent is good. N.E.R.D has some good stuff. Anything by Lupe and Kanye.

The Game - Let's Ride, Dreams, This is How We Do, Hate it Or Love It, Why You Hate the Game, Game's Pain, Dope Boys

Nelly - Heart of a Champion

Pantera, As i lay dying, Horse the Band, Metallica, coheed and cambria

Get some Taylor Swift. That always pumps me up. I'd Lie is a good one.

Zombie Nation
Jet - "Rip It Up"
The Raconteurs - "Solute Your Solution"
Beat Union - "Pressure Zone"
The Bravery - "Swollen Summer"
Eagles of Death Metal - "Don't Speak (I came to make a bang)"
Incubus - "Anna Molly"
Gummibar - "I'm a Gummy Bear" lol j/k

Eminem: Till I Collapse
Trick Daddy: Let's Go
Nas: Hate Me Now

This is a great thread. I am ALWAYS looking for good music to work out to--specifically, to run to. I go for complete albums instead of individual songs. I go for classic/hard rock mostly; songs with a steady beat and strong melody. Obviously we want to avoid ballads and soft poppish songs (but cheerful upbeat like Hall and Oates can work, because the tempo is right). These are some of the albums that I've been listening to recently:

Van Halen--1984
Springsteen--Born to Run
ACDC--Back in Black/Highway to Hell
Meatloaf--Bat out of Hell
B-52s--Time Capsule (greatest hits)
Boston
Journey--Greatest Hits
Dave Matthews--Crash
Styx--any of the greatest hits mixes
Who--Who are You/Whos Next
Huey Lewis--greatest Hits
Queen--greatest hits
Bon Jovi--a mix made by a friend
They Might be Giants

Seriously, Rocky. Eye of the Tiger. Always HAS to get you pumped.

And the Rocky Theme...from the training part..."Gonna Fly Now"(?)

Dope - Debonaire
Breaking Benjamin - One of a Kind
Linkin Park - Points of Authority Remix
Nonpoint - Bullet with a name on it
Offspring - Bad Habit
POD - Youth of the Nation

Welcome to the Jungle - Guns n' Roses
Til I Collapse - Eminem (all time fav)
Pretty much anything by DMX
Hells Bells - AC/DC
Runnin' With the Devil - Van Halen
Down with the Sickness - Disturbed
Bulls on Parade - Rage Against the Machine
Can't Stop - Red Hot Chili Peppers
All My Life - Foo Fighters
For You - Staind

I could listen to Welcome to the Jungle over and over again while I'm running. I never want to stop when I hear that.

dumpy, I recommend T. Rex's "Electric Warrior" and "The Slider" albums to you then. there's a few ballads on it, but the other stuff is fun, good old fashioned rock and roll (released in 71 and 72 )

I'd recommend Pop Levi's latest album, "Never Never Love" , which is a fusion of T.Rex and Prince, with it's own twist. Lots of fun, uptempo, catchy stuff. Has a bit of electronics on it too, and maybe only 2 or 3 slower tempo songs.

thanks--I'll look for it. I recently picked up some Def Leopard and Foo Fighters.

I just started riding my bike again, and for some reason I really enjoy some electronica music. Such as:

Chromeo
Justice
Cut Copy
Boys Noize
Daft Punk

...and of course, you gotta go with the Nike+ albums. They only have a few out so far, but they're all amazing. It's artists that compile these long mixes especially for runners. Currently, they have A-Trak (Kanye West's tour DJ), The Hives, Aesop Rock, The Crystal Method, and Cassius. Hit me up if you can't find them online.

Soil, both Scars and Redefine.

Also the new Drowning pool CD with the singer that was in Soil for those two albums.

Badass.
