Would you trade for Royce White if the asking price stung

Simple question. Assuming the Rockets ever traded him, and the asking price was something like a 1st and or a player like Freeland or Barton, would you want the Blazers to trade for him

No, because I have a feeling they're just going to waive him soon. They think he's dicking them around, they're saying so, and he's getting pissed and defensive. They've already said "it would be a pity if we wasted a pick" which sounds pretty ominous. No GM is going to trade for him, unless it's a player who's literally just a cap hold. Waitaminute - I meant "yes, I would gladly offer our prized first rounder, Nolan Smith!"

I would keep all our tradeable assets for guards. A back up PG and/or starting SG.

No way, the dude is afraid to fly and Portland isn't exactly within driving distance of other NBA cities. He'd be an even bigger disaster in PDX than he already is in HOU.

He should play on the east coast and take the train or the bus to games. With all the air time the Blazers get, playing for Portland would either cure him or break him. The airplane episode from Twilight Zone comes to mind. Something like that could be a real distraction for the other players. So far, he looks like a wasted pick. MM, your offer is too high. Trade him one of our wasted picks, like Nolan, and I'd think about it.

Hell no! It was stressful enough having Shav Randolph on our plane freaking everybody out! We don't need this guy. If he can't handle flying from the middle if the country..... He'd go CooCoo out here!

this. Would love his talent, but I don't think his anxiety is something he will work through easily. Maybe we can play him in Idaho, and then call him up just for home games.

No real point. Not that I care much for our scrubs (I'd trade them all for future second round picks), but White seems to be done.

I'm kind of with RR7. I would trade Nolan, Sasha and/or 2nd rounders to have White on the floor for 41 home games.

He was super fun to watch in the summer league. Might be worth taking a flyer on.

The first thing I thought of too.

I'd sign him and play him only in home games. Why not? Can't be worse than half our bench.

His mental problem is more than just flying. He can't tolerate crowds, either. What a stupid draft choice they made. He could play within a European country where they need only a bus, and he still couldn't cut it because he's afraid of everything, not just flying. After the NBA kicks him out, you won't see him last in Europe, China, Turkey, the Philippines...

I watched an internet video of either his college team or the Rockets (can't remember which) holding a small-scale celebration, in a gym, of his being drafted. He hadn't signed yet, so he had motivation to show that he could walk onto the floor. The interviewer filmed him.

He smiled nervously, tried for about a half-hour to walk from the small room they were in, and couldn't do it. He will never play in the NBA.

He played in the Summer League just fine.

Here he is hiding in an adjacent room while the people who love him in the main room wonder where he is. I feel sorry for him, but he just isn't going to walk onto a big stage consistently. It would be even more frustrating than Oden or Brandon Roy when he became off and on.

Okay, I missed the stories about Shav Randolph, care to repeat them? Any pictures and/or video?

Every time on the plane he would walk up and talk to the pilots about the weather........ then he'd go back to his seat and kinda' rock back and forth. He would eventually curl up in the fetal on the floor. Stressed me out!

Royce in Portland could workout.

What other team planes have a private bedroom like Portland's?
