If you are religious, would you give up all prayer and church for one year if it meant your team (Blazers?) wins a championship with you getting great seats to any of the games you wish to attend?

If you are atheist, agnostic or both, would you go to church every Sunday and pray before all meals and before sleep each night for one year if it meant your team (Blazers?) wins a championship with you getting great seats to any of the games you wish to attend?

A BIG NO to #1

Geez! I don't think lying is going to get it done.

I did that as an agnostic, in 1992... didn't help much. :ghoti:

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

So to those who claim that us atheists are as devout to atheism as religious people are to their religion, I think the fact that most atheists would give it up for sports shows that this is not some anti-religion religion, but simply something we don't believe in.

Well I'm not religious, but I would never give up prayer or my God. Especially for a basketball team!

Good thing you're not atheist!

I don't believe in god. That is atheist. no god, god no.

I have no church to tithe, but I spent a few bucks at the titty-bar last month.

EDIT - very few bucks actually, I am not big on these. But friends were going to I went along.

I also did it in 1990, but before that I didn't know the Blazers existed. I used to be baptist... I prayed all the fucking time. It helped nothing, ever. It hurt nothing ever, but that's because my parents didn't go in for that faith healing stuff... except for the 8 years we didn't have insurance. :ghoti:
