Lakers drop to 4th seed. We are 3rd and Memphis is 7th. Memphis has a shot at beating the 2nd seed if it's Thunder or Mavs. We have a shot at beating either Dallas or Thunder as well. Could there be 2 upsets in the first round with Portland beating #3 and Memphis beating #2?

If this happened, then Portland would have HCA in the second round. This actually could be possible, as long as L.A. dropped to 4th. This maybe a possibility too, because honestly, I think the Lakers would much rather face SAS in the second round than the log jammed 2,3,6,7 teams in the West. All those teams, possibly excluding Dallas are teams that could give the Lakers fits.
