Wright's defense is too valauble to throw away. He just needs to get his jumper going again, that way, he'll be effective from both sides of the floor.

Jefferson is just as good of a defender. Plus I would rather have veteran help like Eddie House and alot of energy off the bench with Hassan Adams then a decent perimeter defender.

Antoine's perimeter D off the bench is far more important than House's one dimensional play (besides, if we get Houston, and his jumper is as it was in the past, then an upgrade has been made anyway). I didn't like letting Adams go either, but if I had to choose between him or Wright, it's Wright all the way. While he may be energetic, Adams' D can be questionable at times, he's undersized for both the 3 and 2 positions, and his jumper is inconsistent. As I said, I didn't like releasing him for the reason that we did (to prevent his contract from becoming guaranteed), but Wright is the more valuable player by far. And when Wright is showing his confidence, he's the quintessential bench player, IMO. Always comes down to the confidence issue with Antoine.
