I searched for it online and what I found seems much like a guy sitting around trying to invent new rules for Monopoly or some other board game.
How about we just pay for every person in the country to go to medical school right after high school? Then, have government hospitals with all the equipment and medicine needed to treat anything. If I get sick, my girlfriend can treat me and if she does I can treat her.
You know something, when I went to the doctor three weeks ago, he thought I had a urinary tract infection. I google searched my symptoms when I got home and realized I was more likely to have a gallbladder problem. Well, it has been 11 days since I had my gallbladder removed. I was right.
Maybe Obama and Wyden can set up a goverment website where you type in your symptoms and get a printout with a voucher for surgery. I could just walk in and say "here, take out my gallbladder"
My point is that if in these plans we have to create more government offices and probably even make up new words to describe what this stuff means...we are pretty much fucked.

I actually have read through his proposal and thought it was a good step forward. I'm not sure if I agree that concessions are equal on both sides of the aisle but it make a good base compromise effort and the economic analysis of the plan shows it will lower overall expenses.

He's been working on it for several years.
I feel bad for him that he invested so much energy on the issue and yet doesn't seem to be a major player this summer.
