One would've been good enough. Two games in four days in this type of cold is absurd.

I'm sure Callahan will break some bone in his ankle or arm in this cold weather. Honestly, I think this is dumb. The winter classic is enough.
 
As the perennial doormat of the major 4 sports the NHL has to do something to increase the game's popularity. The only way these games go away is if nobody attends but seeing there were 54,000+ at last nights Ducks/Kings game I would expect more. It's going to be cold today but doubt that will keep fans from attending today's game.
 
This team is back to playing like a complete bunch of morons. Bad penalties and of course Girardi doing his best impression of what defensemen shouldn't do.
 
On the plus side we can't play much worse. Devs just dominating us physically. Just a poor effort thus far. We'll see if it improves.
 
Another game vs New Jersey where they look horrific

Are they really going to be 0-4 vs this mediocre NJ team???
 
That's the lucky break we needed. 4th line with both goals/on ice for both goals.
 
This is the type of game Nash needs to take over. That was huge 2nd goal
 
Thank Marty for getting the Rangers back in the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 7-5 or 7-6 final in this one. I don't think the goalies are able to pick up the puck as they usually would.
 
Way to draw a PP CK. To even get out of this period down 1 would be a plus. Didn't play well. I also think we need to adjust. The puck is bouncing and moving slowly on the ice. We have to get used to that.
 
I agree Mess. Sloppy game with a lot of bouncing pucks. Just get pucks towards the goal.
 
Not much offensive flow due to the conditions. Get in and get your shot that's been it really. Hard to setup and get a free flow going. Clean ice to start the 2nd with a PP. That should be an advantage.

That's why I don't like the Rangers being involved in two important games being played outdoors. It's a gimmick which changes the dynamic.
 
Come on enough with the bullshit about the ice..the sun
.both teams are playing on the same sheet. Both teams have just as much need in this game. No more excuses. None of the devil goals could be be excused away other than HORRIBLE defense.

The outdoor games suck (at least in cold weather states). It's freezing, the ice is usually bad and the teams always look slow. I'd to hate to have to block a shot today ...

Dont like these outdoor games. Too much hype and distractions.
Winter classic is enough.
 
Al's right though its the same on both sides. This game is huge for NJ too.

Might be the same for both teams, but these conditions will hurt one of them more than the other
 
it would be different if one of the two teams were totally out of it or so far ahead it meant nothing to them other than an entertainment event. but in this case both teams need wins
