Yankees have slacked off their insane pace and are gradually falling back to earth. Tonight begins weekend visit
to the unaccommodating St.Louis who are on a 5 game home winning streak. I am not very optimistic to think
the Yankees will snap out of their doldrums. We shall see.

Not sure if anyone else noticed, but yesterday, Joey Gallo, unlike his days in NY, in his Dodgers debut, intentionally went the other way and copped a clean single to LF...anyone surprised?

And I also wonder if anyone here will be surprised tomorrow if the Yanx are shut shut down offensively when we face Jordan Montgomery?

The bad vibes I get about this team may totally be unfounded if they can turn things around. Until then……
I want their shaky pitching to make positive strides. St. Louis has uncanny knack to correct a pitcher’s woes;
Yeah, I can see them helping Montgomery.

Pretty classy showing by the St Louis fans, giving Carpenter a standing O.

Jesus, Torres, that pitch you struck out on was a foot off the plate.

Donaldson comes alive. RBI single in 3rd. Yankees up 2-1 one out.

Yankees continue to leave runners on base. So far 5 in three innings. And this is against a 6-6 pitcher’s record with ERA of 4.25

You get the feeling with the Yankees out-hitting Cards 9 to 1 with only a 2 run lead ……one mistake and poof!

And this is where Boone ruins the game.

Again, another starter who cannot pitch thru 6. Pitiful. Yep, BaBoone just has no clue
about pitchers.

Carpenter hit it hard and far, but all for naught…..a loooooooong out! Crap!

Holmes puts an end to the inevitable. Yankees lose 4-3. Bullpen fails. BaBoone is a jerk. Yankees lead still 10.5 over
Toronto. In one month Orioles have picked up 9 games on the Yankees and are 14.5 games out.

These Yankees are moving in the wrong direction. And guess who they face tomorrow, Jordan Montgomery.
Just once, I hope the kid pitches a gem tomorrow. Imagine trading him for an injured OF.
That trade does not sit well with me.

Gallo, 1 for 1 in his 2nd game with LA.
