...really need this guy if this team is to have any chance at all at the PS.

Since he's only on an 80-85 pitch count I'm hoping this team can score him some runs before he goes out.

I want to see Tank strike out Cano a couple times, see the Yankees score mucho to keep that tilt cap arrow shooting SOB on the bench and see McLendon get pissed and down on the Safeco Dance Floor.

I won't be able to see Today's game........

In case I don't see you here on the board, before your Surgery on Friday, may I say, I wish You well Rick, and hope all goes well. Godspeed My Friend, and here's to a quick healing Post Op, ol' Buddy.......

Yanks have done well to rebound after losing 3/4 at Oakland to salvage the road trip....guaranteed at least 3-4 as we speak. Good going.

Currently, they have two tandems-
two starting pitchers doing very well (Warren,Pineda),
... and two "everyday" hitters/players (Arod,Tex) with OPS' higher than all but a couple of other ML team"s two hitters.

Not too shabby.

And they could....maybe, possibly....with a little more time, have one of the best middle relief/situational relievers - imo - Jacob Lindgren.

This kid could be secret weapon in the bullpen....he has shown a tendency to walk one too many batters but he is a K machine!
Unhittable slider➡for the most part.

Yanks doing just fine.....for now.

Thank you my old friend, I'll try & keep a play by play going for you here....

Teixeira goes yard & the Yankees lead 1-0.

...HA !...Jones smokes another one!...3-1 ...good guys.

Garrett Jones pops another one. Yankees lead 3-1 in the 4th.

Great minds think alike Ron.

...Walker made a huge mistake...missed his target by over a foot. They try to pitch Jones away but Walker threw it down and in, right in Jones' wheel house.

See what happens with some playing time for Jones? Not the greatest states year after year but they have been consistent.

McCann was removed from the game with soreness in his right foot. Will have an MRI in NY tomorrow. Hope its not anything serious.

...yeah, looked like he did it while swinging. Probably just precautionary...I hope.

...this Ump sure has a low strike zone...but at least he's calling them the same for both teams.

Tanaka is pitching a gem. 7 innings on only 76 pitches with 9 Ks. Does Girardi send him out for the 8th?

Yeah it was certainly a low strike. I don't blame him for being upset. There's nothing you are doing with that except grounding out.

Garshdarnit......why is GJG going with Capuanao to start the 8th when he also had Lindgren warming up and ready?

2nd time this road trip GJG has chosen to go with a gas can reliever over Lindgren WITH a cushion to work with.

The first game of the trip (CC game) he went with Carpenter over Lindgren and that bum promptly gave up an RBI hit.....thank goodness they DFA Carpenter today.

Now today...GJG (gentleman Joe GIrardi), has a two run lead starting the 8th inning and he chooses to begin the inning with Capuano who gave up a leadoff hit forcing GJG to kinda panic and bring in Miller for a 5 out save.

I would've brought Lindgren in to start the 8th and.....the inning may have AREADY been over!

THEY DRAFTED LINDGREN AS A RELIEVER....he has shown great ability to K batters...he pitched well in his LAST APPEARANCE......why even THINK of Capuano to start the 8th inning?

Just one of the "millions" of decisions a MANAGER (not the GM) makes over the course of a season......

Capuano? With Lindgren ready and willing.....
STOP WITH THE RETREAD marshmallows and get the kid in there.
