I'm hoping Nova can get himself on a good run from here on out.

What is Headley's fielding % and RF during that run?

Knock Junkie Josh back a few feet at every plate appearance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much for re-gaining his lost game going back to Texas.

Very important game for Yanks primarily because of Nova.
His ERA is still good coming into this game.
He could be a BIG plus for the Yanks heading into the dog days.
Looking for at least a split in the four games in Texas and aim for 2/3 in Chicago but first things first - How Nova pitches TONIGHT, and the Yanks winning tonight.

I want to see the Yankees sweep this series, the Rangers are another team on my shit list.

Didi ties it with a two run shot and then a triple for Ryan. What's the world coming to? Speaking of Ryan can they please tell him the mustache thing is over?

Apparently he didn't get the memo.

Nova - bending alot, breaking a little bit -
....bottom line so far, he's done well NOT imploding and holding Texas to 2 runs after five innings. Not bad at all, as he has struggled with his command. Battling through it.

Arod celebrates his 40th birthday with his 24th homer of the year.

I like what we're seeing from Headley offensively. That time in the two spot helped him. Just make contact.

Well kids its like this, Five innings from Nova, I am concerned about that this staff is shaky and a move must be made in house or outside to tack on quality innings.

Looks like the trades are starting, small at this point Clippard to the Mets, Victorino to the Angels, if Price is pulled from his start tomorrow that could be a major deal. Tigers and Bostons lost today. Listened to Vasgerians show for a bit today. Turned it off when De Rosa and our old buddy Brian Roberts started pimping the Red Sox and slobbering over "Big Sloppi" MLB is getting as bad as ESPN. Seems that "Big Sloppi" got a bit sentimental over Pedros speech, was remarking that he too will be up there. Perish the God Damn thought!

Of course could use an upgrade at SP in place of CC but don't sell the Yanks' SP too short compared to their "competition"....... Yanks' bullpen has proven and still is one of the absolute deepest and best in the league and 5+/6 innings from a SP could, possibility be good enough especially if Tanaka and Pineda do what they ARE capable of doing.

Better to not live on ifs I want this team to succeed and I believe they need to step up the starting staff.

DiDi had a pretty good game tonight helping the Yanks win the first of a four game series in Texas.

Anyone remember the off season when some various media pundits and sportswriters were suggesting and/or recommending the Yanks try and fill their SS hole with Elvis Andrus?

As of now, here is how he and Gegorius measure up.
Andrus, earning 15 mil, and Yanks would have to also give up something in return.
360 AB, 3 HRs, 34 RBI, BA .250, OBP .301, OPS .629.
Gregorious, earning 553.9 thousand, acquired in exchange for a pitcher, Shane Greene who currently has a 6.72 ERA and .1.54 WHIP:
302 AB, 4 HRs, 21 RBI, BA .242, OBP .291, OPS .616.
And this is in his first full season as a starting SS and struggled through his first 45/46 games batting. .212.

I believe he's also cut down on his errors considerably over his past 45 or so games.

One beef about last night's game. The Tex sissy fit.
With two out and Tex on second, batter hits the ball.
Tex, relying on 3rd base coach, coasting to home plate.
So what does Tex do? Blast his coach.

First. If Tex had any kind of running instinct(which
he doesn't), he'd be running his ass off. On a long
single, Tex would have a tough time scoring from
2nd base. I have watched him for years. He just
has no speed whatsoever.

For him to unload on his coach is nonsense.
Being thrown out at the plate is nothing new for Tex.
As a base runner, he is well below average.

I understand that he was upset........not with his coach......
but with himself. Since when does a player coast
to home on a two out single.

GET OVER IT TEX!

From what I read this morning Cage he was upset with the 3rd base coach because was told to "Take it easy" as if to say you'll score with no problem, so Tex slowed up only to get thrown out.

...I was a little surprised at Tex...I think he went a little overboard.
