Yankees used to beat that team like a red headed stepchild. Now thanks to Cashmans "Youth Movement" the Yankees are underdogs. George is rolling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't adjust your TV sets, Yes, we are leading 1-0 due to a bomb by A-Roid.

Drew...... an 'all or nothing' ballplayer at the plate. Still
'nothing' in the field.

Holy crap, here we go again, down again in the late innings & only 2 hits through 6

Just asking............Are the Yankee HRs this sorry year hit
with the bases empty?

Lmao......we better hope Arod stays healthy.....or at least those of us who are Yankee fans and want to see the team WIN.

Not exactly embarrassing himself on the field and would a competent 2b /backup SS who bats .230(?) with 12-15 HRs be all that bad?

Or, to put it another way, if the Yanks need Drew to have a VERY GOOD year in order to compete, then it really is "OVER" . lol

...why do you feel the need to try to ruin every thread?...you still don't get it...and you probably never will.

Gardner pinch running for Beltran just cannot steal......
he's hoping for ARoid HR. HA YEAH!

FIRST STOLEN BASE THIS YEAR! LMAO

arod looks rejuvenated, locked in at plate, doesn't have that doubt look in his face, the man is determined.. good for him, good for yankees, now lets put tex in 9th spot in line up, wake his airse up!

They told us you were dead.

I think they should get McCann's ass out of the middle of the lineup.

Got a problem with that? Maybe you don't get it.....actually you DIDN'T get it since you were the one who constantly said Arod is "TOAST" before ST would be over.

Sounds like you're kinda in a bad mood as Arod AND me served you up a nice piping hot plate of crow.

Don't know how long his 39 yr old body with bad hips will hold up - but he's already proven me right when I said: "I think he has enough professional pride as a ballplayer and enough left in the tank to help the Yankees".

AND HE ALREADY HAS!

So pipe down and cool out.

Batting under .200 is a Yankee fate. DiGregorius .152, Drew .167, McCann .179,
Beltran .184..........and close but no cigar: Headley .205, Teixeira .219.
Two-thirds of the A-1 Yankee batting order is floundering. Well, you can't
say it isn't teamwork.

Ruin every thread? lol
This is a Yankee game thread, and a nice victory with Arod having a big hand in the win....so stop with the "highjacking thread" malarkey.....

My post was appropriate and justified.
Cut out the bitterness...and face the music.

Try reading post 22......yeah, I know...it's meaningless. Lol. Chuckle...of course!

...yeah, I got a problem with it...ARod has exceeded mine and many others' expectations, so what? You pull irrelevant BS out of your ass at every opportunity and bring up ARod as some sort of weapon.

...so instead of simply following the game thread, you decided to throw another unnecessary dig in by saying "Lmao......we better hope Arod stays healthy.....or at least those of us who are Yankee fans and want to see the team WIN." Who was that directed at? Who has said or implied they don't want this team to win? Can you name even one person who has said that?...didn't think so.

...what you "don't get" is that ARod cannot/will not sustain his current numbers and pace. Over the long haul ARod won't overcome the putrid supporting cast. Even with ARod the Yanx are batting .222 and the BP will be worn out because the starting pitching can't go deep into games. But it IS laughable how your tone changes when this team loses a game as opposed to now when they win one...like rick said, you're an opportunist.

...lol, again, what's up with answering the same post twice ?...are you really that disturbed?...never mind, don't answer.

..."bitterness"?...hardly. But do you seriously think that there's anyone on this board who does not want this to succeed in spite of its flaws?

...as I said, "you just don't get it".

Did not watch the game, made one look in at the 1-0 score. At around 12:30 I turned to MLB network for a game check found out that the Yankees had one. After watching "Quick Pitch" I found it was the "Druggist" 5 TB-4. After reading the box score and recap it showed what pathetic shape this team is in. Other than the druggist 2-26 at the dish with hitting stats unbelievably low. I feel sorry for Girardi having to be the front man for this group.
