30 degrees! Glad it's not Pineda out there. Let's hope Tanaka can be dominant again and surprise us in taking 3 of 4 vs. what was the hottest offense in the league.

No human being should be playing baseball in that kind of weather. But WTF? GO YANKEES!.

Tanaka is looking good but it's starting to look like he won't get any run support. ALTHOUGH, the Yanks are making Sanchez work and will be in that bullpen soon, so there's hope. With any additional luck, this is the last time Beltran bats toward the top of the lineup - he's an absolute wreck up.

For last night game they dropped him to a season low 6th in the lineup. He just looks like he's not catching up to anything.

Tanaka is pitching really well again but its looking like one run may be enough to win this game. Still 4 innings to go, lets hope.

Man on 3rd with only 1 out, C;mon Beltran earn your salary.

Beltran you *^#$*% that's 3 strike outs now. YOU SUCK!

Good news, BALK runner from 3rd scores game tied 1-1

...Beltran 3 for 3 today...3 ABs, 3 SOs.

...Umps are on their game today...why did they take so long to call that balk?

Game is tight as a well tailored suit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the 7th & there's only been 3 total hits. Yankees (1) Tigers (2)

Nice job by Tank today, if he pitches this well for the remainder of the season what a bonus.

More of a bonus would also be to see a little more consistencey from Sabathia.

Again man on 3rd with one out for Beltran. HOLY CRAP! they're walking him to pitch to McCann. Damn I hope this back fires.

Grond ball by McCann, just enough to get a run in. Yankees up 2-1 going to the bottom of the 8th.

And here's the part I don't agree with, Tanaka pitched a beautiful game for 6 1/3rd innings & Betances finished up the 7th. If the games stays this score Betances will get the win. Just doesn't seem right. JMO

HELL YEAH! Taking 3 out of 4 from the Tigers & 7 of 10 on the road trip. Gotta love it.

Struck him out swinging. Ball game over. Yankees win. Theeeeeee Yankees win.

Miller made the heart of that order look like Beltran! Great pitching almost the whole series.

Nice game, good series, with better results than what we'd hoped. 3/4 from the team with the best record in baseball, now go beat the shit out of New York National!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mets possibly coming in with an 11 game winning streak. The bottom line though is feel good about the wins but this offense is grossly inconsistent. Too many guys under .200.

The pitching excelled this whole series. Great to see them win this series.
Can't believe it. Now to face the NLs best in the Mets. Who woulda thunk!

I don't think they're just NL best I think they're ML best. Looking forward to a great series.

BTW: in the match ups if anyone is curious, Sabathia gets Harvey in game two.

Yep, Miggy couldn't handle McCann's hard grounder which probably cost Detroit an inning ending DP as Detroit had to settle for just one out at first base and allowed the runner from 3rd to score.
Tough nuggies for him and Detroit, lol.

And Headley saved a run with a diving stop. Solid 3bman.

Ellsbury showed how he can beat you with his BASERUNNING ability /SB capabilities.
Yanks beat Detroit in every phase of the game over the 4 game series.

Quick snap shot- which team looks to be better from top to bottom.....SP,bullpen,lineup, overral team defense and the capacity to play small ball and team speed?

Just a thought. Long season.....long season.

It hasn't been as bad as it seems.
The team is scoring runs and they've done it by scoring at least 5 or more runs in 9 of their 16 games and have scored 4 runs in another two games.
Not so bad. Your going to have those games where you score 3 or less runs..having as few as possible is obviously the trick. Lol

Just hope the team stays reasonably healthy and they'll be doing just fine as the warmer weather comes. Imho
