Tough assignment tonight. Sure hope the offense will find out it takes more than a bunch of singles to get some crooked numbers. Yankees got a bit of a gift last night but they took it,

I honestly was not aware of Carlos' feat, in with good company too...!!

When Ricky Henderson asked what Catcher in his Career, gave him the most fits, and was hardest to steal on, his answer, Bob Boone......!

Line for tonight is on Houston. Yankees now 11-10 in August 6 games to go for the month. Atlanta is a team like Cleveland, one they should mop up instead of getting their butts kicked. One against Boston to close the month. Time to wake up and smell the coffee.

Hey Rick ..... I see Joe is at it again. Lets rest Gardner and McCann on the same day. Nice to see Tex back. No Drew...lets replace him with pornstache both are useless anyway.

The Yanx can't even give Drew away, for a bat boy........!!! :bgrin:

CC said today he hopes to return from the disabled list in as little as 15 days as per Bryan Hoch.

Dustin Ackley is expected to begin a rehab assignment Thursday as per Chad Jennings.

Joba signed a minor league deal with Toronto a while back, doubt if he'll see any action up there.

OK seriously....don't we have a lefty stretched as a starter in AAA/AA that's not on the DL? Give some kid a chance rather than Crapuano...heck we make call ups from other teams look like the 2nd coming of Cy.

...I know a lot of people blame the way Joba was handled as the reason why he failed...but maybe he just was not that good to begin with. I mean, how many times have we seen prospects called up (pitchers and position players) and they start out on fire and then once "the book' is out on them and other teams figure them out and they fall back to mediocrity.
...and I don't mean just Yankee players, it's that way throughout Baseball.

He had the mentality of a crack baby....well because he is one.

...Clarkin and Lindgren are the only 2 that come to mind.

That's always bugged me also Lillie, I mean I have no problem resting a reg from time to time but not two for the same game.

Joba was a product of Yankee hype; you know how
this organization hypes a new player = product of
The Empire.......they did it to players coming up in
their system.............remember, Phil Hughes. He was
never the same after back injury. So, they traded him
to Minnesota (for whom?) and they straightened him
out until recent injury. ................all ......regardless of
personal upbringing.

It will be a tough task for this line up to beat Houston's
Kuechel. Nova is iffy.

You're right Cage, not very promising. In August........

Young is batting 111, & 0 for his last 18
A-rod is batting 151 & is 7 for his last 57
Ryan is batting 125 & is 3 for his last 24

Just doesn't seem fair.

never a good way to begin a game, giving up an un-earned run due to Jacoby's error......

A team that capitalizes on another's errors, more often than not, becomes the Victors, let's hope the Stro's give up a few errors of their own.....

Or- Nova gets going, shuts down the Stro's, with the Yanx Bats wide awake, so I hope.....

Keuchel is a tough SP, but He can be had.....

1st innings & we're already down 5-0. This is all on Ellsbury.

No way Nova is even sniffing the 5th inning in this game.

Hey Nova, tu es mierda del toro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Gomez, what a f'n hot dog...no way I'd want him on my team.

...I'll never forget McCann getting in his face for that kind of bush league "look at me" BS....that's when I really knew I wanted the Yanx to sign McCann as a FA.

damn it, 1st inning, and 4 to Zip.

It's not going to be a easy game against Keuchel with His 2.37 ERA, while opposing batters, are hitting a low .216 vs this guy......
