Sabathia vs. Sanchez

Lineups to follow...

last years Yanx spoiled us all with a nice April record of 15-8, 15-12 in May.

017 from June 13-th's nose dive, over the next 35 games thru July 15th, the Yanx lost 23 of 35 games; 12-23, lost a 4 game AL East lead, wrestled it back as late as 31-July, only to lose that lead once for all. That team gave us something special, even with a nice start.

I certainly didn't expect playoffs last year; but in all fairness expect Post Season play this one, or is that a stretch; unrealistic-???
One thing remains the same imo, Trashman's not done much to build/integrate a 'lights out' SP staff, and bats often remain too silent to long....

Who the fk knows what schemes, conniving practices the brass is thinking, I doubt t/GM or Kids have a clue what to do going forward; unless it's sit back, wait and develop ... that isn't going to cut it, anywhere else maybe...:bored:

This is where we all miss Joe?? I will until Boone can prove/disprove his value. I'll give him a chance but can't settle for mediocrity. Maybe Boone should watch some Wally Backman videos, or would he hurt too many precious ego's.... He'd have to have permission first ~!~

After all there is no Billy Martin to call for advice...:smiley-help: ??

No more Manifestos. :rotfl:

I guess Treatise's are also out of the question? Not even a mid length diatribe either? I don't do vignettes, that Vic's job, Messiah or Dibitetto, the latters in Glasgow no kiddin...

I should of started an "Off Day" post. Actually today, Vic's in Edinburgh, left Glasgow. No Yanx games over there, unless one's on an Air Base...

"Crusty the Clown's" - "going to see the golden cock", Vic's words not mine...

Everyone needs to take a chill pill especially with regards to stanton. So he is in a slump. Big shit!! Not his first and not his last. Does anyone really believe by the end of the year he will not have 35 plus homers? What might help is playing a couple of fucking games when the temps aren't in the 30's and you can feel your hands. Someone also worried about sanchez. Really!! Worry about guys like walker who is an automatic out, Wade who sucked ass last year and for whatever reason is rewarded with pretty much a starting spot this year and continues to suck ass. HE SUCKS!!! Rizzutto should be there at 2nd every day till torres arrives here shortly. Andujar hitting .333 over his last 30 or so at bats and is finding his stride. First week or 2 in may we get bird back which will lengthen the lineup which i feel also gets better when we get some warmer weather to play in. Not worried at all about our offense and surprised a lot of you especially with the weather we've had are. As for the pitching I see some problems. Big part is our number 2 and 3 starters namely tanaka and grey are pitching like a couple of frightened pussies constantly nibbling at the corners and running up high pitch counts every game. Challenge the fucking hitters already you two. As for the bullpen if you want to rant this is the place. Outside of green every other reliever that comes in you need 2 bottles of pepto bismol to get thru their innings. Should have got rid of betances last year for something now the other teams know he blows and any baserunner that gets on you might as well put them on third. The jury is out on boone this early and rightfully so and while I like calmness in the dugout I'd like to see him take a little more control while were struggling in terms of lineup changes, changing the batting order a little and the relief pitching order. Everyone just relax. This slump will be over shortly and then our yanks will be kicking ass and I don't care who we play we will be kicking ass. The only thing cashman should be doing is getting on the phone and getting us a young starter for some of our millions of prospects.

Tell us how you really feel Mel. :rotfl:

Joey Batts is playing in The Minors now.

I got a feeling he will be in hotlanta within the week, perhaps playing one of the Thunder Alley corners. Braves have not had one homerun from a third baseman yet. Joey's first initial offering with the Bucs...

While the Yankees were idle yesterday, the 1st & 2nd place teams bot won. The next 20 games will tell a story. Just hope that Biggie can come up with a good one this evening.

Per River Avenue Blues this AM, the Yankees re-signed Lind to a minor league deal. So many infielders such disappointment at their play. I don't remember Lind doing particularly well in ST. I'd see the best Yankee IF as Anduhar, Gregorius, Toe, and Austin.

anyone know when Bird is scheduled to return....?

Per the New York Post 4/17/18 Bird is hitting off of a Tee, doing baseball activity and hopes to accompany the team when it goes on the road to Houston and Anaheim.

:tiphat: Thank You Michael, I appreciate it. Guess I could of googled his recovery; and you made it that much easier saving me some time. Not that I'm lazy ya' know....just pressed for time-:cowboy:

1 thing I love about this board, even bspn for what it was worth. It's like being on base when a brother/sister picks you up, drives you in...

Can't help but think the chemistry will change somewhat with Bird back....

Biggie better have a couple bowls of Captain Crunch before tonight's Game.

better eat the entire box; and stay away from Trix, which are for kids...

No 6 pack of double cheeboigahs for pre-game meal for CC-???...a 2X2 is actually 22, 22 patties/cheese, or 22 LBS... lol-

Doing an afternoon score check, see the Tigers are kicking ass on the Orioles. Really pisses me off when I think of the Yankees 1-3 record against that team.

Imagine Trashman giving up a Clint Frazier and/or Andujar for another questionable pitcher. The guy
should be ashamed that his organization cannot develop potentially talented pitchers. The Yankee
pipeline is having a tough time to get these pitchers to the parent club. Before this season began it was
no secret that the Yankee starting pitching was questionable, and the relief corp seemed to be stable,
some thinking the relief was very good. Starters are still very questionable. The relief pitching early on seems
to be overrated. The real negative surprise is that there is no pitching depth in the Yankee farm system.
The Yankees are stuck with what they have......and if there are to be any changes, Trashman will give up
talented players for other team’s question marks! That’s dealing with a crippled brain. Right. Trashman.

Just proves how Yankee pitching is so obliging. The pitching is giving away these games.

Looks like Baboone made an adjustment with Miami Man. Don't know what it will accomplish but cross your fingers and pray.

Solarte, always thought he was a nice player, Yankees gave up on him too early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
