Just when the Yankees are in dire need of a win on a night that the'll be celebrating Bernie Williams, we get this guy.............


LHP - C. Capuano, (0-1 12.00 ERA)

VS.

RHP - Y. Gallardo, (3-6 4.26 ERA)

Being as optimistic as possible......................GO YANKEES!

Capuano and optimistic in the same post is an oxymoron.
 
Over the past three season we've witnessed the Yankees getting their ass kicked when honoring a former great, why would today be any different? Read an ESPN article that Gardner commented that he felt embarrassed but the last 10 games. Until all of them feel that way and do something about it I'd say that this season may well be trashed. Time to shed the high priced duds and replace them with young hungry ballplayer that want to be winning Yankees.

...I think this is the perfect time to change things up and address the 2B and SS situation and to a degree, RF also. Call up some kids from the farm or make a trade or something. I doubt the changes would be for the worse so it won't hurt the team any further and it just might wake up the others.
 
I agree....fire sale can't come soon enough.

I just bought the team & this is what I did....................

I traded away Sabathia, Teixeira & Beltran & agreed to pay half there salaries.
I brought up Bird to play 1st base & Judge to play right field
I gave Drew his unconditional release.
I brought up Rysnyder to play 2nd base.
 
on national TV no less.........Sunday nite game never thought.....
and the Yankees are show casing Crapuano. I got my broom
out.

Did you trade for a SS and a top LH SP prospect? Why is ARoid still wearing the uniform. This new owner sucks too.

Sure. Bring him into the office and say the steins want to bring up Judge, etc etc, team going in a new direction, retooling. Its gonna impact your playing time. You've got a ntc, but X and Y are asking about you.....

I think you mean Bird, Judge would be Beltran's replacement in right. But I could be wrong. (yeah like that could happen).

Yep....would get that right if they kids were already up and playing.
 
Just read that baseball fans are sick and tired of having
the Yankees shoved down their throats almost every
Sunday nite. Well, how do you think we Yankee fans

Tonight's lineup is posted in the OP. Headley batting 2nd.
 
Error (Pirela) followed by a Fielder double & the Yankees are down early 1-0
 
Gardner = safe on an error
Headley = singles to right & Garner is thrown out trying to go from 1st to 3rd.
A Roid = singles to center

If not for Gardner should be bases loaded & nobody out.
 
...as has been pointed out numerous times, Gardner is by no means the smartest base runner.
 
Are they seriously going to get swept at home by Texas?
 
Game getting out of control looks like another L is pending. What a spineless group!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
