I don't know if the Yankees tried to sign one of the free agent pitchers, maybe they tries but did not want to pay what they were asking. From what I've see in spring training against American League Teams they'd best address pitching right now. Getting the shit kicked out of them by AL Teams in ST does not bode well for the up coming season.

Since I was an O's fan, pitching in March typically downturned in July and extended through August. I hope the Yanks can get every bit of talent out of CC throughout the entire season.

I was as shocked as anyone over C.C.'s year last yr, even more shocked to see t/Yanx 1 game from the W.S.; something no one expected.

I still believe the one aspect of upgrading the Yanx to a W.S. Victor is/has & continues to be bolstering a sold SP staff. If not this year or by the trade deadline, hopefully next year, sooner than later would be nice...
