We get embarrassed in Houston, then this shit happens.
God willing it’s his last year. Yanks MUST be sellers now at the trade deadline. Only untouchable players are Gio, Judge and Cole. Everyone else thenYanks should be at least fielding calls for. They could probably get a really good return for DJ. See if Stanton will waive his NTC to go to a contender and trade him and retain most of his salary. Just get whatever back for him. Doesn’t even matter if it’s a Peralta type, he just has to go.

For Stanton to somehow be miraculously traded two things must happen even if he waves his NTC.
1. Cashman would have to find another GM who is just as braindead as himself who is willing to take on $29 Mil per year for a one dimensional part time player.
2. The trade would likely have to be another AL team because Stanton cannot play the OF with getting hurt or butchering easy plays so he's essentially restricted to being nothing more than an AL DH.
I do however see any of or a combination of Torres/Sanchez/Andujar/Voit/Odor being dealt...and though he's sucked recently, Chapman too.
I'l also be glad when Gardner is gone but I think out of of some perceived loyalty. the Yanx will let him finish out the year and retire after the season.
But I still think there are moves out there that can improve this team enough to make it to the PS...we're only 3 games in the loss column out of a WC spot.

I don’t want the Yankees to get anything for him, and I’d be ok with the team paying some of his salary. Anything to get this dumb fuck off the team. We can get half a tub of pre chewed bubble gum for him. I don’t care. Just get him out of here.

The ONLY way the Yanx can jettison Stanton is for the Yanx to agree to also pick up at least half of his salary.
At least. He is one dimensional. Power only. Cant field, throw,run or hit for average. Need an al contender to have a big injury and need some power
