Lynn vs. Covey

Lineups to follow...

Sorry guys my finger slipped and posted the wrong Month.

Interesting tidbit

The next month will Define t/Yankees.
Unfortunately this team has shown that they usually rise to the occasion when playing good teams, or stoop to a lower level when they play Bad teams. However they did not arise to the occasion these last 4 days.
The next month will be a make-or-break month for postseason, in my humble opinion...

The Oakland A's and GM Billy Bean move while Cashman twiddles his thumbs and does nothing. Shawn Kelley threw a temper tantrum, the Nats said goodbye, Oakland picked him up. Another ex Yankee out there on a potential competitor you know how that goes. Oakland swept Detroit over the weekend and wound up getting Mike Fiers today. Bet he's one happy son of a bitch today going from a loser to a winner. Bean has always been a GM that I wish the Yankees had, dude gets shit. Mean while the odds makers favor the Yankees tonight. How much faith do I have in Lynn remains to be seen. The offense very little, ditto the pen after last night. I'm getting tired of the Judge/Sanchez missing scenario. In reality Sanchez never showed. The loss of Judge while a pain means the others must step up while he's gone. Baseball is a team game and those present must fill the void by contributing a bit more.

Where has all that Yankee depth gone? Playing Luke Voit & Shane Robinson makes the bottom of Yankee
batting order ‘deadwood’. The timing of trading Tyler Austin for Lance Lynn really backfired. Why?
Trashman obtains Lynn in order to pitch him against Boston.....did not happen......thank you, Sonny Gray!
The way these moves are unfolding makes manager & GM appear overmatched by their opponents.

It’s pick up your bootstraps and start beating up on the weak teams. If this team cannot win 90% of these
weak teams, come September the Yankees, who always had a tough time beating west coast teams on the left coast,
will be in dire straights. It does not take a mastermind to see the writing on the wall.

Also, the Beane genius made calculated relief pitcher moves to an already strong bullpen with an ERA of 2.61.
Meanwhile, all Trashman could do was to collect ex-Yankee relief pitchers off waivers who were optioned to
the Yankee farm system. His moves have no way strengthened the Yankee team. Imagine, we get to watch
Sonny Gray come in relief! Ugh!

^^^^^ Ditto

Sanchez hasn't shown up all year; and has been more of a Liability than a contributor. He's gone from the Sanchise to shit....The Yanx didn't falter with the Mick out in Sept 61 for 10 of the last 12 gms...
The 61 Yanx were 8-4 in there last 12 gms... without Mick..

^^^^^ballplayers were different/ better back then. The game was different/ better back then.

Chisox’ Covey has not allowed a hit for 3 innings. Where have all the Yankee hits gone? This was
supposed be a Yankee strong point this year. Something is amiss with this team.

Lance Lynn bringing normalcy to a beleaguered starting staff. For how long?

Hard to get a true reading vs a pathetic Pale Hose Team.
The Yanx reverting to swinging for the Fences again.
Score s/b 9-0. Yanx need to beat t/CHW-Sox by a 10 point margin thru the entire series, & do the same with all opponents w/a .500 or less Win Pctg.

If the Yanx are 2b taken seriously as contenders, they have to destroy opponents pitching, while shutting down opponents hitting. Have to play error-free defense, and dammit learn how to steal bases, and score without always swinging for the fences. This is what they need to do 2 polish up on, in order to contend with the top teams. To be a big dog running with Chihuahuas, big dog needs to eat that little dog before they get to finish line....
They need 2 Howl like the Werewolves of London, I mean t/Bronx- Hhooowwwllllllluuuuu Werewolves....

Yankees put a halt to their 5 game losing streak with a 7-0 whitewashing of the Pale Hose.
Now, if there was ever a time to string together wins, it is now!

Lynn with a damn good job last night, retired 19 in a row retired at one point. Been a while since we've seen that type of performance from a Yankees starter.
