Splitting the 4 games vs TB not so bad, it'll maintain Yanks current div lead and eliminate 4 more head to head chances for TB to gain ground on Yanks.
I think this is a fairly big game for Paxton to try and continue his last couple of good outings.
Couple of observations just for fun.
Last three full seasons:
Tanaka 534 IP, 3.83 ERA, 1.14 WHIP- Kuechel 518 IP, 3.77 ERA, 1.25 WHIP
Since 2017:
Paxton.............67GS, 372.2 IP, 3.53 ERA, 1.16 WHIP 11.1 K per 9 IP
Syndergaard 50 GS, 297.1 IP, 3.60 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, 9.1 K per 9 ip
