At the beginning of this Season, several of us, made predictions as to the amount of games this team would Win. If I am not mistaken, I believe 86 wins, was my own, not sure tho'.....?

Anyone got a leftover link to that one........?

Mine was either 84-85

"approx" 90....
Basterds have lost 5 of their last 6 to this point with one reg season game left...lol

Mine was 80....dead nuts if not for some timely 9th inning HRs.

I had them at 85 wins......funny, 85 wins would have had them
out of the playoffs as it turns out! In my book, they overachieved! lol

^^^^^^^hehehe and a belly lol

...well of course...lol.

So tell us.....how many wins did YOU predict the Yanks would win this year?
Judging from your Arod expectations prior to ST, I doubt if you had them for AT LEAST 87 wins.

Yep, you're the voice of reason.....by the way....do you still expect Tiger Woods to have a good year in 2015? Lmaooooooooo

That only applies to other people.

Nope....there is no woulda shoulda.
I had the Yanks for approx 90 wins....they have won 87 and HAVE been competitive for the division and playoffs throughout this season and have not traded a single top prospect.

Cashman is laughing at YOU.

Your lack of logic is mind boggling. Did you seriously decide to come back on board just to look foolish? because if you did, you're succeeding.

I figured 85 wins. Unfortunately, from where they were in July 90 wins should've been a lock and then to go 29-31 in August and September is quite disappointing.

See post #15 again.... and I forgot to add- Yanks also did not sign any big ticket free agents.

Yanks over achieved? (cop out excuse for the naysayers)
Or was Cashman's estimation and "plan" for this team close to the target while also retaining and bringing along youngsters from the system?
And shall we applaud the acquisition of Gregorious filling one of the biggest highest profile openings prior to this season?

Yep, I wanted them to win the division....I also hoped they could win a gazillion games.....and I want them to win the WS.

Overall, I think it was a "good" regular season and this team was in the division race right into mid September.
Let's see if they can squeeze their way into the ALDS.

Have to admit....it would be worth the price of admission reading some of the anti-Cashman remarks coming in the face of a Yanks/ KC series.

My fingers are crossed........ lol....... nah....nevermind.

What the hell is going on here tonight??? lol

You can't just ignore how a 162 game season plays out. What people thought or predicted about the team in March and April has nothing to do with right now. The Yankees at one point were eight games ahead in the east. At that point the season then claims higher expectations.

Toronto was under .500 basically for the first half....Redsox were a mess, Baltimore never got going.....Toronto TO THEIR CREDIT did make a couple of big bold moves, and ultimately had three guys with 35-40 HRs and 100 RBI....
Yanks were still in the division hunt right into mid-late September....Jays were BETTER. They took 5 out of 7 from the Yanks Sept 11- Sept 23 sandwiched around the Yanks taking 4/6 from Tampa and the Mets.

Toronto (obviously) was the better team....sh!t happens.

Yeah, seeing the cowgirls lose is always a good thing.

There is not one person on this board, who did not want the Yanx to win a AL East Pennant.....

Some of us were reasonable, with our predictions, and one was Illogical, guess which one....here's a hint, the same and only one, who thinks a naysayer, is NOT the same as a realist, or - the only one who can't see this team as over-achievers......

I recall, your rants beginning with 96 Wins....then 94, then 92, your still slipping......what now, a 28th W.S. Ring.....

No, this Team was not in the mix in mid-Sept. They began their demise to less than mediocrity as of August 1st - thru September, to today...30-30 since Aug. 1st....and we're naysayers, again ? More like realist, an obvious concept; to complex to understand???.....

I see you've set aside this special time to humiliate yourself in public.
I'm not being rude. You're just insignificant.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem;
I'll try being nicer if you'll try being smarter.

You should get straight.
I never "began" with 96 wins....
The exact statement was "approx" 90 wins..... exact words. Look it up.
Actually, the usual suspect tried to twist "approx" and 90 into 92,93,94 wins.
Understand?
Needless to say, at that point I had to do the usual dance with him and explain "approx" 90 wins means approx 90 wins....want to give or take a game in either direction would suffice for "APPROX" in my book.
Understand?
They won 87....realistic?
Was "approx" 90 wins further away and less "realistic" than YOU'RE prediction?

I picked them to win MORE games than you did...and they DID.
Bye bye.

Are you now stuttering?

Yanks were 2.5 games out of 1st place on September 20 with a game left vs Toronto.
Is that being "in the mix"?....in "mid-late September"?

How silly do you feel?
It's okay....nobody's perfect.

Please let me give you a little tip- try not to let being prejudiced against someone get the best of you. It's worse than being "rude".

Well the Cowgirls just lost. Go G-Men
That just made for a fantastic conclusion to this football Sunday. The Giants right in the mix.
Love seeing Romo's face smile to a grimace.

....^^^

Romo will never see a Super Bowl, unless he watches one on TV.....

Go G-Men indeed. Beckham damn near made another 2 finger catch, what a stud. Beckham Jr, and Amari Cooper, Julio Jones, have all set the bar a couple of notches higher, for all NFL WR's.......

Mr. Rodgers is UN-believable; as always.....
