Will there be a Napoleon Dynamite cartoon? Yes! FOX announced it will air six episodes of the animated adaptation of Napoleon Dynamite. FOX also announced that it will air Allen Gregory starting next season, another new cartoon series in conjuncture with Napoleon Dynamite.

The Napoleon Dynamite animated cartoon is a spin-off of the cult classic indie flick Napoleon Dynamite which became a huge success in 2004. FOX is hoping that a cartoon featuring the same strange cast of characters will become as successful as the movie was.

The Napoleon Dynamite animated cartoon will be voiced by the original cast of the Napoleon Dynamite movie. Jared and Jerusha Hess who wrote the movie are also writing episodes for the animated adaptation. They worked with long time The Simpsons writer Mike Scully.

I never got that movie. It just didn't seem all that funny.

wow ... they really have run out of ideas for tv shows. this wasn't that funny a movie and now they are trying to make it an animated show, epic fail.

weather the movie was funny or not, do you really think that a flick that was a "cult hit" 8 years ago is really going to be a good premise for a tv show?

Over/under: 1.5 seasons

to this day I am still pissed about the time of my life wasted on that movie.

If there's anything this world needs, it's cartoons based on movies from 6 years ago.

Way to be fresh!

It has a huge cult following. I liked it, personally. Quirky comedy. Btw, Jon Heder is from Salem, Oregon!

It was a decent movie, but i'm not sure it needed a cartoon, especially 6 years after it came out.

I thought that movie was hilarious.

First time I saw it, I hated it and almost turned it off.

Second time I saw it, I laughed a bit and found it OK.

Third time I saw it, I was thoroughly enjoyed by it.

I have a theory about people who enjoyed Napolean Dynomite.

Awaiting publication.

I had the opposite reaction. The first time it was pretty good, the second time it was horrific. There was no third time.
