Sandy wexler was one of his better movies in years.

The others were absolute garbage.

I'm trying to think if I've seen any AS movies. Punch Drunk Love, I guess, and it was totally forgettable. I was pissed, given all the hype.

The thing about Adam. He is a superb writer and is behind many a great comedy. But his acting? Barf.....

He was funny for a couple of years in the 90s. He has made nothing but garbage since. I honestly don't find anything he does even slightly humorous.

I like his Shrek and Austin Powers movies.

If any of you guys give me shit for liking early Adam Sandler films you can suck my fat one. Early Adam Sandler & Tim Herlihy scripts were funny movies. Billy Madison, Happy Gilmour, The Wedding Singer.... what makes them any different from light hearted 70's Richard Benjamin films? They were just filled with dick jokes and pot humor. Didn't make they bad movies. Everything Sandler did LATER was absolute crap. But you can do a lot worse than watching The Waterboy. Its better than whatever garbage Seth Rogan is making nowadays.

Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore are classics. He made some great comedy cds back in the day too.

Eight crazy nights, anger management, click, bedtime stories, just go with it, funny people, that's my boy were all enjoyable.

You just gotta watch out for the jack and jills or you dont mess with the zohans.

Its a minefield out there with adam sandler.

Yeah. I just don't get it. Adam Sandler was like totally cool when I was growing up. I had all of his early albums in high school and college. Sandler has become a term for "crap" among elitists who slam him needlessly. Oh, and Woody Allen hasn't produced a bunch of celluloid feces? It's smug opinion. He just got too successful and didn't know when to quit.

Happy Gilmore is one of my favorites of all time. Watched on a giant laser disc you had to flip in the middle. Laughed hysterically.

He's been mailing it in for 20 years.

Never watched any of his new stuff on Netflix. He used to have good stuff. Happy Gilmore is probably my favorite of his, I remember watching water boy as well. I can't hate on the guy, he seems too humble. Dude doesn't even dress up for appearances or award shows and he has a shit load of money. I respect him

Adam Sandler was always a second choice for me when I had to see a movie. The absolute WORST is David Spade. He can act like a cow can fly.

.

Zohan was better than all of those except Funny People.

People call him crap because most of his movies are crap. What's hard to get? Sorry for being such an elitist I guess.

I have seen them all. His Happy Gilmore/Billy Madison days were his heyday. Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Anger Management, all ok movies. Then he messed shit up by starting to do shitty movies like Little Nicky, Zohan, Chuck and Larry, that's my boy, the cobbler, etc.
He tried to do serious roles like in punch drunk love and Spanglish. I didn't care for those. I did like Reign Over Me.
His foray into Nexflix is about money instead ok quality. Hes basically said fuck it

Well it starts from "oh his movies suck," to his "but that one's okay," to "well I liked the one he did a few years ago." I can think of tons of celebs they have mailed it in for years. Robert De Niro for example. But it seems society deems it necessary to have a public "go to" for unfettered criticism. Hey, maybe it's not elitism so much as just as I am trying to figure out why we all gang up on certain people.
Phil Collins hasn't released much of an album for years, yet he left England the mockery was so bad. Every few years or so there they release a joke article/rumor about him dying....
In an era of social media and non-transparency in media, I just wonder why they generate critism for a few easy targets and let some "easy on the eyes" or more accepted celebs with good publicists, get by.

Waterboy is one of my favorite dumb movies. I love that shit. Anger Management, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore. All good. Say what you will about Chuck and Larry. The scene with Jessica Biel all wet and stripped down to her bra and panties would be worth the price of admission.

[adam sandler voice] "I waaant tooo touch her hiney"
