Are you MJ? Hornets flip Hayward for Ant plus move from 27 to 14 at the cost of going down one spot from 2 to 3? That's nuts. Blazers went from 4 to 2 to get Aldridge only giving up Victor Khyrapa.
I tend to think your probably more likely right than wrong.Zion sits on the bench too often to be worth trading for. If it happens, I believe that the Blazers will regret this trade.
They’ll regret most any tradeZion sits on the bench too often to be worth trading for. If it happens, I believe that the Blazers will regret this trade.
Blazer Palace? Sound like a men's suit store.
That's sort of irrelevant, as normally a ton of the trades announced at the draft get finalized in July.As @wizenheimer and I were discussing in the other thread, deal probably isn't possible until july 1
Not irrelevant at all. Whether or not Ant and/or Nurk are involved in said trade could change if we work out a move before july 1.That's sort of irrelevant, as normally a ton of the trades announced at the draft get finalized in July.
Trade would be with Zion and #3. It gets announced at the draft. Not irrelevant at all. Whether or not Ant and/or Nurk are involved in said trade could change if we work out a move before july 1.
I just posted why it matters in the post you quoted.Trade would be with Zion and #3. It gets announced at the draft.
If it becomes official the next day or a week later, that's irrelevant. Why do you think this matters?
Every year there are trades announced at the draft that become official in July.
That store wouldn't be allowed in FloriDUH.No, that was The Gay Blade!
I tend to think your probably more likely right than wrong.
But if your wrong Zion has MVP upside, could legit make the Blazers a contender. There is no player in the draft that has that in the next few years and even long term it's a big question mark for all elite prospects as well.
Giannis is the only MVP without these questions, and hed cost way more than #3 and Ant; PLUS Sharpe. Even Embiid has a lot of injury risk.
This trade doesn't work, it would have to take out our cap hold on Jerami to get done. You have to attach more salary and there is no fucking way they should get pick 14. We should get pick 14 and they should get pick 27.
In three years the guy has played an average of 38 games and you have us trading our best two trade assets for him? This would go about as well as Bowie or Oden.
To get to where we're trying to get with Dame you have to be willing to take this big of a risk with this high of an up side. For Zion to have an upside, means that he has to stay healthy and play more of a season than he does sitting on the sideline.
The obvious concern has to be that Zion hasn't been on the floor for more than half the time he has been in the league. This is my big concern. I am a person who believes in what they see. So far, I don't see Zion being a player to trade for with his health issues.
If I am wrong, it wouldn't be the first time. But, I have to go with the odds since they favor Zion sitting on our bench most of his visit with the team. If this trade even happens.
Well I guess I'm dense, are you saying Nurk or Ant would possibly be gone in a separate trade so a Zion trade can't happen? Or are you saying it can't happen with picks since the draft is the 22nd but contracts match July 1st? Or are you just adding a note that it would be in July? Or noting it since then other trades and free agents movements possibly could be merged into the trade?I just posted why it matters in the post you quoted.
He fits both timelines, which seems like what the Blazers want.
