That's true. If anyone had not known those guys were slated for top three, would an observer even think there were first rounders in the game? It's just one game of course, and i wasn't really watching their defense.

I don't know....Dylan is their primary ball handler and Ace is their tallest player who also takes the most shots off the dribble...that alone would probably give most a decent indication.

We're you watching yesterday? At least in the first half, Jeremiah Williams was clearly their primary ball-handler. Harper was secondary. And he and Bailey may have taken the most shots, but nothing about their performance (last night, at least) suggested NBA talent.

I guess it depends on what determines the primary ball handler. Jeremiah brought it up a fair amount but Dylan still initiated far more pnr's.

    Anyways, it's a silly conversation.

They didn't play their best but a quick look at age and a stat sheet and it's pretty obvious. And i watched the first half and Dylan still made back to back plays that would raise anyone's eyebrows. Deep step back 3 and a turn around middy I think.

College basketball is a blind spot for me most of the time unless I'm paying attention to young guys Portland has a legit chance of getting. Can someone explain to me how a team like Rutgers that has 2 projected top 3 pick future NBA players has a record of 12-14? is the rest of their team THAT bad? excuse my ignorance on this one.

    Yes.

Dylan and Ace are the only players in the top 100 for Big Ten BPM.

Worst set of upperclassman in the conference by a good margin

I’ve watched about 15 of their games, they will be the 2nd and 3rd picks in the upcoming draft.

If we get lotto lucky and land in the top 3, who would you rather draft of the two?

Probably didnt want to put on a spectacular show in front of blazers scouts, may not be a desired destination for either? I think in todays game, location, is a high priority.

I'm a big Bailey fan. That shot is just beautiful. He can really move for his size. Dare I say that he reminds me of KD. We need length, athleticism and shooting on this roster, he checks all three boxes.

I think he is more athletic than KD, but I am not sure many players can shoot as well as KD. Regardless I would choose Ace over Harper.

Kevin Young is doing all he can to get two years out of Kanon, and I don't blame him.

So much special with this kid...some team will take a swing in the back half of the first if surprisingly declares.

Not seeing the Durant comparison at all. I remember Durant in college vividly at Texas and he had such a pure jumper. It was obvious that he’d be elite. He shot the 3 at 40%. Averaged almost 12 rebounds a game and 26 points. He’d take games over at the same age.

Bailey shows glimpses. I think he’ll be good. But not a surefire star like Durant was.

People are looking for the next Durant in every draft, but more often than not, they get a Brandon Miller or Jabari Smith. Tall, lanky shooters that are basically good role players. Sure, it would be great to find the one guy who does end up fitting that profile, but searching for it tends to inflate valuations.

Bailey has a lot more upside than Miller or Smith because he's a better shot-creator off the dribble.

Texas Tech has a kid named Christian Anderson. Lights out shooter with decent size.
