These must be the worst rankings ive ever seen... Yes Kobe is a 97, LBJ wade 96 ok... But players like Pau Gasol and Odom get an 84 and a 77 respectively??? http://www.operationsports.com/mediaview.php?id=605&page=10#comment
Eh, they are just ratings. I'm sure if you wanted to, you could put up 20 and 11 with Pau or Odom if you control them. I think people put too much stock into ratings. Like on Madden, Malcom Floyd is a 70 or w/e. I had him in the Pro Bowl with 1200 yards and 11 TD's. So I'm good with the ratings of Odom and Gasol. I actually think that 77 is very fitting for Odom.
Pau's rated above Dirk so that's not bad at all. Players at Odom's level are around 77 on that game so not too shocking either.
The ratings are way different this year. In last year's game, I don't think we would see Big Al Jefferson at an 84, or Pau for that matter, but this year, they're both at that same rating. The rating system basically goes like this: 90-99 - Superstars 80-89 - All-Star Players 70-79 - Quality Starters to Borderline All-Star Caliber Players 60-69 - Quality Role Players & Sixth Men 50-59 - Role Players, Specialists & Young Prospects 40's and lower - The Jerome James' of the World
I think it's a good thing that not so many players have high ratings. We just got used to seeing crazy high ratings I guess, but I believe the new ones are more realistic.
Plus you always felt like a douche bag when you had all of your starters with 90+ ratings in franchise after a few seasons. Now I'll be able to build a monster team quilt free.
Got that right, it's kinda tedious when you get such a good team, it's alot of fun IMO when you use a middling team and rise above expectations to get to a high spot in the playoffs. I thought KG would get a 92 in these recent ratings.
