I wasnt aware of that.. yeesh looks like you support a bunch of Hooligans Natedogg!!1 jk http://blog.oregonlive.com/ducks/2010/05/another_beaver_arrested_thats.html But seriously really there were 7? Is that including the couple former Beavers I read about over the weekend?
Go Beavs! We couldnt allow the Ducks to get all the negative publicity, so we had to join the party. We also got a little jealous about the Ducks baseball team doing good and getting so much attention so we had to sweep them this past weekend.
haha nice I didnt even realize that... congrats on that. Serves the Ducks Baseball team right.. at least you guys werent so jealous you created a team just cause our success... just like Baseball was done in Eugene.
whatever... if you're rooting for a D1 football program, you're probably rooting for many thugs and morons. Anyone who doesn't realize this is being naive. When players fuck up, throw the book at them and let them serve as an example of what not to do. STOMP
You can't blame Duck fans for laughing a bit at this story. Will Crapzano now mount his bully pulpit and demand the coach be fired? Where are the people here who branded U of O some kind of outlaw program for having similar problems?
I'm sure they're just too busy in the kitchen preparing their crow dinner to respond... but surely they'll be in shortly STOMP
I personally dont think the problems are similar. A BUI @ Lake Shasta and crashing a golf cart arent in the same category as burglary and domestic violence. Another factor is Masoli and James are studs... star players... cant say the same about the Beaver players that got in trouble. The media doesnt care nearly as much about the average player... it doesnt have the same sizzle.
Nowhere near as embarrassing as sitting next to someone doing the sprinkler with his hat kicked sideways...
apparently the culture of lawlessness/lack of institutional control at OSU isn't limited to the football team. A felony assault charge, jail time, pending theft case, and of course booze.... apparently no college has the market on stupid cornered. Beerboy is probably correct in his mention of the O's coverage being about the star power of Masoli driving their sensationalized coverage, but it is interesting that while they were beating those drums the state's newspaper of record barely made a peep about this mess at OSU despite it happening at the same time. Are the Duck kickers really that much bigger stars then two OSU scholarship holding wrestlers? Was this story purposely buried so a certain fanbase could spin into a self righteous tizzy? STOMP
