Will the people who say they will not vote for Biden vote for a woman? Especially a woman of color? It's a real question.
Or do Democrats shove aside the vice president and find a white male somewhere?

I think it’s most important a candidate that we can feel confident will win. Regardless of race, gender or ethnicity. A lot is at stake.

I agree. But face facts, there are those who don't.

The more I thin about the more I think Joe should continue to run....He will beat Trump regardless how Sharpe he is. Most people / dems that say they won't vote now for Joe, will. Including George. What an ass hole.

If anyone thinks its going to be easy to pick a new candidate, and everyone will quickly unite behind them... there are plenty of people still angry about Hillary/Bernie, and that's 8 years ago now and involved a full set of primaries. Whoever emerges from the smoke-filled room will have a real challenge to get people focused on the election and not on why their preferred guy/gal didn't get the nomination.

I think the only way Biden is off the ticket before the election is if he evokes 25 and Kamala runs the show for a couple months. Not sure if it would be enough to rally voters but she could at least use funds from the current campaign, from my understanding. If there's a whole new nominee, yeah, there'd be some very angry people. Crazier things have happened I guess but I don't see any way of getting out of pulling the lever for Biden this November.

Kamala Harris is one of the most unpopular and unqualified people to ever sit in her seat. It has nothing to do with color or sex (the only traits you seem to care about) either. The woman is a total moron. The Democrats need a new ticket badly.

At least to me, it seems like such a meager point. Harris is a heartbeat from the presidency right now. If the Dems make a change and Michelle Obama doesn't suddenly have a complete change of heart and run, Harris probably would be the candidate replacing Biden. If Biden stayed in and god forbid died before election day or before inauguration day, Harris still would be the one stepping into his shoes. I can't imagine her cabinet would be very different than Biden's.

The big thing is Trump is totally unfit for office. He brings all of Biden's bad qualities and a truckload of others. There aren't many worse alternatives for POTUS. There have never been many worse alternatives for POTUS.

I don't need a perfect candidate to vote for over Trump. I just need someone halfway competent and sane who respects our laws and the principles on which our nation stands. I'd vote for a large rock over Trump because at least the rock won't damage the country the way Trump would ... and that's going by what Trump has said he intends to do if he gets back into office.

Even if that were true, she's still magnitudes better than Donald Trump, who, BTW, is tremendously unpopular himself.

There is no way she's dummer than Trump. No way in hell.

She'll get 4 votes from my household over Trump. Guaranteed.

Going to be interesting how this shakes out.

My confidence is high it’s just a political ploy by O’Brien to not alienate his more dumb right wing constituents.

I wouldn’t have a problem if he did this with a typical Republican candidate. But, Trump has proven to be the most anti union president in history with weakening the NLRA board.

I'm thinking Gavin would have faired better than Harris. No idea if he would have won. But, could have been closer. They should look at him real close in 4 years.

Maybe. But he also has a reputation as a sellout and being from California doesn’t really resonate with the rust belt voter.

I don't think Harris was going to win, regardless. Gavin probably had a better chance than Harris and anybody, IMO.

Should have been an open convention. People want entertainment with their politics these days, 10 floor votes would have had that.

It would have at least given Dems a tested candidate. Who had a chance to do plenty of debates that the Republicans couldn't block out of fear.

Dems need somebody like Bernie or Pete who is willing and able to debate and destroy any and all comers on policy.

And they'll need to be very likable and persuasive.
