Benitez upbeat after Liverpool talks

QUOTE

LIVERPOOL, England (AFP) - Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez insisted Monday all was well between him and the club's American co-owners after meeting with George Gillett and Tom Hicks. Benitez has become increasingly frustrated over what he fears may be a lack of funds to buy new players and tie down Javier Mascherano, currently on loan, to a permanent deal during the January transfer window. However, after a meeting following Liverpool's 1-0 defeat at home to Manchester United last Sunday, Benitez told the club's official website: "We needed to clarify the situation and it was a very positive meeting. "The conversation was very fluid because we were face to face, whereas it's more difficult over the phone or by email. "My English isn't always the best but having the chance to talk to them slowly and with time allowed us to analyse small problems. Now we can move forward," the Spaniard added. Meanwhile Xabi Alonso could return against Chelsea in Wednesday's League Cup quarter-final at Stamford Bridge after 10 games out with a foot injury since being sidelined during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal in October. "Xabi is training normally and should be available for the match at Chelsea. We are going into a busy period with lots of games so it is important to have our best players available," Benitez said. Liverpool are now 10 points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal but last week they beat Marseille 4-0 to advance into the last 16 of the lucrative European Champions League.

Actually, things arent that bright as they seem, his job is in alot of danger at the moment. Very easy way to see it: No carling cup (Done) No Prem league or top four (5th place at the moment, doesnt sound good!.....lol.) No ECC (Its only a matter of time) = Rafa Sacked!
yes they are..but they opted for a cheaper stadium instead of the proposed one at the beginning. they're probably waiting for the fans to steal the staduim parts from other stadiums to make it...lol

Oh the wit its killing me....................not. HERE'S BRINGITON BACK WITH A VENGEANCE so watch out you shandy drinking southern puffs.
If Benitez goes then so will many Spanish liverpool players. Alonso, Torres and more. They are what like Arsenal used to be like with Ze Frenchies.
Yeah Torres said that, and I think he chose Liverpool because of Benitez, otherwise he would have gone to United.
