Oh crap! Dangerous driving threats! Sounds like Weed-gate all over again. My body is not up to 82 games so don't include me in the "We" playing 82 games. Maybe you will.... Gramps...
After seeing the Blazers success through the year, Kevin Love declares he made a mistake and wants to be traded to Portland. LeBron responds that Love has to get in line. He wants to come first. Meanwhile, Detroit approaches Portland for an even player swap - Drummand for Leonard. Surprisingly, Karl Malone wants to come out of retirement and join the Blazers in one last shot at a ring. Gramps...
I'll go bold. Lillard's assists will jump from 5.6 last season to 7.1 this season. This will be because Lillard will finally have a pass first point guard on the team to learn from. Steve Blake will show Lillard how to get players better involved, in better positions to score with the pick n roll. Lillard did learn from Mo last season. Lillard will learn from Blake.
If Lillard's assists jump to 7+ per game and he maintains everything else he would be getting pretty close to all NBA 2nd/1st consideration.
Kevin Love plays less than 40games this year. Aldridge is voted in by the fans to be the starting PF in the all-star game. Lillard averages 20ppg 11assists. Blazers exit in the first round of the playoffs with Dirk averaging 27ppg against the Blazers. Felton plays less than 15 games for the mavs this year.
I have a similar idea, with a slightly different take: Lillard's 3FG% goes way up because he'll get more open 3s playing with a pass-first PG (a la LMAs rebounding going up because of RoLos boxouts).
Lillard has a 40-15 game in the Moda Center. Edit: Others who've done it: Iverson (44/15), LeBron (43/15/13 reb), CP3 (42/15), Kevin Johnson (42/17), Clyde (41/15), Tim Hardaway (41/18), Isiah (40/17), LeBron again (40/16)
