See. I knew you were smart. I would do it on Blazer Edge but they delete posts of anyone who calls anyone else out for being categorically incorrect, hypocritical, or unoriginal. I know you're stuck on trying to find out my "agenda." This is one of those trick questions, that only Ben Golliver experienced from high school, where you spend 10 hours trying to deduce the solution only to have the teacher exclaim, “Just kidding! This question has no answer!” Whatever that means. Or, in socially adept speak, your assumption that I have an agenda is a straw man. I think we went over this pages ago. It's just funny that Golliver is so bad at writing, and lacks any originality, even when he isn't ripping from every other writer to provide content to his sheep.
Mamma always said, if you're good at something, never do it for free. Er, maybe that was the Joker, but who really remembers that movie anyway right? You should check out his stand in for Freeman in the video recap, "Morning Jam." This guy is such a phony. lol
You're a trip. But don't flatter yourself with the idea that I'm stuck on your agenda, I really don't care what or if you have an agenda. I will say that while I'm not finding the humor in Ben's writing that you are, I do think it's funny the phrase by Ben Golliver is starting to be used around here. You could make your stamp here just with that phrase.
It's not flattering, but I did read your post before you edited it. lol It's fair to say my response was on point. If we're being literal, I don't think Golliver's writing is funny either, or accurate, or original for that matter. If a punch line is all that comes of this, mission accomplished.
I don't dislike Golliver the way I do Canzano, who thinks he is Portland's moral police. Golliver occasionally makes an oblique smirk at some player's transgression, but he is unconsciously conforming to writers he has read (what I call copying and pasting). The motive seems to be conformist sarcasm, not inner seething contempt, as with Canzano. I like a writer who is original but not egotistical, who refines his own abrasion with self-erasure. I like...well, I hereby throw in my hat for the nomination.
I don't dislike Golliver. I just find his writing to be boring. Therefore I never read it. I also find Blazers Edge to be boring and therefore I never visit it.
I used to read everything about the Blazers I could find, but these days I read virtually nothing because there's nothing new to share. Virtually every topic about the team is discussed ad nauseam on this forum before it ever reaches the Oregonian, ESPN, or Blazers Edge. Unless it's something breaking, but even then it will find its way onto this forum just as quickly. I pretty much only come to this forum because it is a catch-all for everything Blazers related.

Possible board mottos DON'T touch that dial. You ain't going nowhere. It's in there. (Ragu spaghetti mix, saying it includes every possible ingredient) If you can make it there, you'll make it anywhere. (New Yorkers never need to leave the city.)
