breaking..the two journalists from Current are getting pardoned.....oh yeah, from BILL CLINTON, not secretary of state, HILLARY CLINTON. wonder what the "deal" is here.....
Yep, there's a payoff. They're flying out with Bill Clinton. I wonder if both women will be joining the "Mile High Club" with our 42nd president?
he did. i wonder if this was done with taxpayer dollars though? It was an "unofficial" visit....who paid for it....a letter from Obama was given to our apparant new friend, Kim Jong Il?
I knew this would work. Both Jung & Clinton have a strong liking for young ladies in common. So they had something very much in common. The only difference is it nearly cost Clinton his job.
Kim Jong has a 14" penis and fucks young virgins while hitting holes in one. Not even Chuck Norris or the world's most interesting man has been able to take in one of his loads (and they've tried, frequently)
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20090804/pl_afp/nkoreausmediaclintonnuclearweaponsbolton_20090804160611 And John Bolton is pissed Bill went over there to get them released. Typical. Always have to have a hostile foreign policy. Anyway, Bill Clinton has always been a favorite of mine. Like Denny Crane said, I think of him as the best president in my life time.
Bill Clinton is an amazing individual. If you had ever met him, you would know. Joke all you want. The guy has a charisma unlike any individual I have ever seen.
Wow. I almost wish those two American citizens were still rotting in a North Korean prison just so I didn't have to read the brutal douchebaggery going on in this thread. Classy, you two.
The minute we stop caring about our citizens is the minute our citizens start getting bad things happening to them. North Korea, Iran, wherever else---get it done. If you can have an ex-Pres do it for the cost of a plane flight and some secret service guys, all the better. If it requires force, it requires force.
Really? I view his presidency & adminstration in the bottom 15 of all time. That said, I think he is an intellectual and charasmatic person. I'd like to meet him some time.
are you referring to the two american citizens who were rightfully detained and tried for illegally entering a country, a crime which they admitted to? or are they the victims here?
so even if they break the law, enter countries illegally, we should go fetch them? well, I guess not everyone works for Al Gore...so this may be an isolated incident.
I personally think he was great if you look at his body of work. Greatest peace time growth in GDP of all time. Most prosperous economy ever. Down-sized the military. Didn't have a (large) war. Left us with a surplus. Kept our foreign policy not as hostile, and we were actually liked and appreciated in the world.
True, but he also forced thru the greatest tax increase in the history of known civilization that cost hundreds of thousands of people their living and was impeached for lies to Congress- were it not for deeply partisan politics he would have been removed from office. Every member of his cabinet was indicted by a grand jury except one wbho was censured by a democratic congress for refusing to investigate a securities scam his wife was involved in. Also, tens of millions of dollars were given to friends for bogus 'research'... He also oversaw the greatest swing in congress in US history outside of the civil war and was generally inept in foreign affairs (there's a pun there somewhere...).
Yeah, those two. The two journalists investigating human trafficking in North Korea, or as you call it, gathering propaganda. Their cameraman got away because he ran faster than the two women. I'm guessing we should try him on behalf of the North Koreans and then send him over there for his 12 years of hard labor. I didn't know you were so sympathetic towards North Korea. Just great. I wonder if this had happened in Saudi Arabia or Libya, would you still feel the same way?
While in this case they may have actually entered, I'm hoping you're at least smart enough to realize that in some countries they force confessions out of people, especially Americans..,
IMO, the taxes were worth it as America was at its peak. But I really thought he did fine in foreign affairs. I liked his style. He was generally well liked across the world, and wasn't seen as the bully as Bush. The strong anti-americanism around the world wasn't started until Bush really got going. As for the corruption, I agree that his administration was very corrupt. But I honestly just look at body of work. Sadly, I think the Bush Administration was every bit as corrupt from what we know. I really hope Holder decided to prosecute. Obama doesn't want to prosecute because it will lose him republican votes, but its honestly not up to him. Its about the law. nobody lied to Congress like Bush and cheney. But I suppose everything is politics.
