The best way to describe DA, to me, is a younger, more athletic Jimmy Jackson. They're games aren't quite the same, but both are solid citizens who think "team" instead of "I". The difference is I think DA can be just good, if not BETTER than Jim Jackson was. Being that he's a better ball handler, quicker, and much more versatile than JJ, I think we have ourselves a steal.

I don't think Anderson is as much of a team player as Jim Jackson is. Anderson has been someone with a scoring mentality, someone who would force up bad shots instead of passing to a teammate in a better situation. Jackson, at least for the past few seasons, has been content with being a designated three-point shooter and defensive specialist. Anderson has more physical tools but his defense is notches below Jackson. That being said, I hope Anderson can improve his D under Van Gundy and become an important piece of the puzzle.

Maybe in his early years, but I never saw any of that. When DA was in San Antonio he was they're energy guy. He fit in the system perfectly, and showed that he can play a team game. That's what I use when I look at how he can fit in with us. Jim Jackson was seen as having a scorers mentality until he got on a winning team and it humbled him, that's what's happened to DA in recent years. I also think your sleepin on his defense. I've seen DA give guys problems defensivley. He ain't no Ron Artest, but he can definitley play some nice D.

[IMG] ...DA looked great last night in the charity game...hes a really good passer and looked smart out there...he made an unreal reverse lay-in that was his only basket of the game, but his athleticism is apparent [IMG]

Good to hear that he still has a lot of his explosiveness left. I was kind of worried that he would become afraid of slashing due to his fear of re-aggravating his injury. However, I'm glad that he's still athletic and has some hops.

Btw, looking good in the cornrows. [IMG]
