Conan:"He knocked the HOU rockets out with this shot: (shows the 3)"
"He's the Cover Athlete for NBA Live 15. Damian Lillard."
(slow dance when he comes out... grey sneakers)
"First, the shot. You knocked the Rockets out with that. I've watched that so many times... you make the shot, win the game, everyone goes crazy, you walk away like "My business is done here"
Dame: (Story about tournament in Oakland and getting a tech in high school)
Conan: "It's cool to watch b/c anyone else hits that shot they go crazy, but you're like the Terminator."
"You used to practice without a hoop, and had to use your imagination. Tell me about it."
Dame: (Story about his grandma and grandpa's house and shooting without a backboard)
Conan shows a pic of the Damian mean mug--they call it the "DameFace". It looks like you mean business.
(ANdy: It looks like there's something on your upper lip you're trying to smell)
They recreate the face in the game (NBA Live 15).
Conan: "Tell us about number 0."
Dame: (Someone had number 1. I wore that in high school and college, and old story about Oakland, Ogden, Oregon, etc)
Conan: "Is it tough being away from Oakland and living in Portland?"
Dame: (His mom, brother, couple of cousins live with him in Portland. She's like his friend, she's "cool"..." that's my girl")
Conan: "You created an online rapping competition. Tell me about that."
Dame: (4BarFriday, he's been rapping since 14, did everything he could do to make sure it's his)
Conan: "Can you do a demonstration? I'm an amazing beatbox."
Dame: (if I don't like the beat, I'm a go acapalla. I'll say kill it. Ok, kill it. 4 bars)
Conan: "I think I could've added something great to that. NBA Live 15 is out on Tuesday. NBA tip off Tuesday."

Nothing about the Blazers.
 
I remember times when Drexler got national press, and he came off....weird. He was never natural at it.

Damian looked and acted like it was all 100% natural for him.

He's got it more than any other Blazer ever had it.

Just watched. Damian was GREAT. Brings me such joy to see a Blazer get treated like this. It dawned on me another reason for this is that it's TBS and its sister company TNT televises the NBA of course.

He already said in the press release that he was going to discuss 4 Bar so there was nothing to predict on that front.

Yeah, I must have missed the high school tournament story... hadn' heard that one yet.

Good on Dame for getting the national pub. Didn't mind there was no Trail Blazers talk... I mean, for a national audience what was there to talk about on a late night talk show than the shot. I mean, that did define our season, after all.
 
I watch a lot of late night interviews and that was a great one, especially for Conan.
